WILSON E. RIALS, OF LOREAUVILLE, LOUISIANA.
IMPROVEMENT IN MEDICAL COMPOUNDS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 223,169, dated December 30, 1879; application filed July 21, 1879.
To all whom it may concern;
Be it known that I, W ILSON E. RIALs, of Loreauville, in the parish of Iberia and State of Louisiana, have invented a new and Improved Medical Compound, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to that class of compounds used as remedies for throat and lung diseases, and is composed of honey, sixty-five parts, mistletoe from white oak, fifteen parts; inullein, ten parts; pleurisy-root, five parts; and steel-dust, five parts.
The mistletoe, mullein, and pleurisy-root are boiled for several hours in pure water for the extraction of their juices, and the infusion is then poured 01f, and has added to it the honey and steel dust. It is then cooled and bottled.
For all throat and lung diseases, especially for consumption, this compound is well adapted to secure a relief and promote a cure.
