Specication forming part of Letters Patent No. 221,099, dated October 28, 1879; application led August .30, 1879.
" useful Improvementin Salt-Cruets; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being hadA to the accompanying drawing, forming part of this specification, in which the figure represents a vertical section of a salt cruet or bottle showing myimprovelnent.
My invention relates to means for disturbing, agitating, or loosening salt, so as to prevent it from cakin g in a hard mass around the sides of the bottle or eruet.; and it consists of a bar of suitable forni pivoted and passing through the top or cover ot', and titting in a slot at the bottom of, the bottle or'eruet, in such a manner that the motion may be ap-A plied to the bar or agitator from the outside of the cruct. y
