In order to insure that in the process of shaking the device prior to the selection of the balls, these balls will not readily enter the restricted enclosure, there are provided inwardly projecting deflecting

The manner of use is obvious from the foregoing. After the group is selected from the chance selection and the casing halves are joined together, as illustrated in Figs. 1 and 2, upon proper shaking of the device and tilting to permit the balls to enter into the restricted space 6, the selected numbers can be read through the apertures I 8 and I9.

Of course other identical markings, in addition to the numbers, might be used to identify the selected rolling elements, such as the balls I.

What is claimed is:

1. In a device of the character described, a

casing defining an enclosure and having a restricted extension communicating therewith with a threaded end, said casing, extension and threaded end being formed of two halves, said halves having inter-engaging hook-like projections adapted to disengage upon relative lateral movement of the halves, a nut engaging the threaded end for holding the halves against relative lateral movement, thereby preventing separation of said projections, and rolling elements in the casing.

2. In a device of the character described, a casing defining an enclosure and having a restricted extension communicating therewith with a threaded end, said casing extension and threaded end being formed of two halves, said halves having inter-engaging hook-like projections adapted to disengage upon relative lateral movement of the halves, a nut engaging the threaded end for holding the halves against relative lateral movement, thereby preventing separation of said projections, rolling elements in the casing, and a wall cooperating with the casing walls for restraining one or more selected elements from entering the extension.
