1 Claim.
This invention appertains to new and useful improvements in cuspidors and more particularly to a cuspidor of the liquid content type.
The principal object of the present invention 5 is to provide a cuspidor which cannot spill when it is turned over.
Another important object of the invention is to provide a cuspidor which can be easily cleaned.
Other important objects and advantages of the invention will become apparent to the reader of the following specification.
In the drawing:
Figure 1 represents a vertical sectional view through the cuspidor.
Figure 2 represents a top plan view of the cuspidor.
Referring tothe drawing wherein like numerals designate like parts, it can be seen that the cuspidor consists of the lower section 5, and 20 the upper section 6, the upper section 6 having an opening in the top thereof from which depends the downwardly constricting neck structure 1 which at its lower end is provided with an outwardly and upwardly flaring flange 8. M The sections are threaded together as at 9 and 1936, Serial No. 87,509
upon the bottom of the section 5 is an upwardly flaring shell Hi having the stem H disposed vertically therethrough to project above the top thereof. A cone i2 is supported by its apex above the top of the shell H] in the manner 5 shown in Figure 1.
With a cuspidor constructed in this manner, the same can be turned over without any of its liquid content escaping.
While the foregoing specification sets forth 10 the invention in specific terms, it is to be understood that numerous changes in the shape, size, and materials may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as claimed hereinafter.
What is claimed is:-
A cuspidor comprising a bottom section, a top section, a depending downwardly constricting neck supported by the top section, said neck terminating at its lower end in an outwardly and 20 upwardly flaring flange structure, and a conical shaped member supported by the bottom section and projecting upwardly into the lower portion of the said. neck.
