IMPROVEMENT lN WINDOW-SCREENS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 202,599, dated April 16, 1878; application filed July 14, 1677.
[b all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WELLINGTON D. STEVENS, of Springfield, county of Hampden, and State of Massachusetts, have invented new and useful Improvements in Window- Screens, which improvements are fully set forth in the following specification and accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a perspective view, showing covered frame A and slide 0, all within the casing D. Fig. 2 is a front view of slide (J, and Fig. 3 is a section of the same.
The object of my invention is to produce a sliding screen at the minimum cost.
The advantage of this screen will be seen in its durability, cheapness, and convenience. It may be placed so near the sash as to prevent the passage of insects. Further, it does away with all devices to be attached to the frame to hold the same in position.
The slide is 'made of any kind of metal,
1. In combination with frame A, the slide 0, having indentations i, substantially as and for the purposes stated.
2. The frame A, covering E, and slide 0, having indentations i, in combination with casing substantially as specified.
WELLINGTON D. STEVENS. Witnesses:
ALBERT B. ORosBY, E. A. WEBSTER.
