FIG. 11 is a perspective view of a dismantlable sofa packing assembly of the third embodiment of the present invention. - The structure and technical features of the present invention will be detailedly described hereunder by three embodiments and accompany drawings. As shown in
FIGS. 1-2 , adismantlable sofa 1 provided in accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention is composed of abase mount 10, two back supportingframes 20. twoarmrest frames 24, twoseating cushions 28. two back supportingcushions 30. and twoarmrest cushions 32. - The
base mount 10 is composed of afirst base frame 12 and asecond base frame 15 detachably assembled with thefirst base frame 12. Both first andsecond base frames FIGS. 2 and 3 , thefirst base frame 12 has twoinsertion posts 13, and thesecond base frame 15 has twoconnection holes 16 into which the twoinsertion posts 13 are detachably and respectively inserted such that the first andsecond base frames base mount 10 comprises twostand posts 18 and fourlegs 19. The twostand posts 18 are located at the connecting portions between the first andsecond base frames stand post 18 is provided with an upwardly extending threaded shank 181. Theinsertion post 13 of thefirst base frame 12 is provided with a threadedhole 14, and thesecond base frame 15 has a throughhole 17 in alignment with the threadedhole 14. The threaded shank 181 is inserted through the throughhole 17 and then screwingly engaged into the threadedhole 14. In this way, thestand post 18 not only supports the first andsecond base frames second base frames legs 19 are mounted to four corners of thebase mount 10 respectively to support thebase mount 10 at a predetermined height. - The two
back supporting frames 20 are detachably mounted at arear side 101 of thebase mount 10. The detachable structure may have various designs. In this embodiment, the twoback supporting frames 20 are shaped like a flat rectangular frame having a similar shape and each have a second length d2 and a second width w2 smaller than the second length d2. Thebottom side 21 of eachback supporting frame 20 is provided with twopins 22 which are insertable into the twopin holes 122 at therear side 121 of thefirst base frame 12 or the twopin holes 152 at therear side 151 of thesecond base frame 15. By means of the weights of the two back supportingframes 20, the two back supportingframes 20 can be stably connected with thebase mount 10. To dismantle theback supporting frame 20 from thebase mount 10, the user only needs to upwardly take theback supporting frame 20 without the need of using any tools. - The two
armrest frames 24 are detachably mounted atlateral sides 102, i.e., left and right sides, of thebase mount 10. The detachable structure may have various designs. In this embodiment, the twoarmrest frames 24 are shaped like flat rectangular frames having a similar shape and each have a third length d3 and a third width w3 smaller than the third length d3. Thebottom side 25 of eacharmrest frame 24 is provided with twopins 26 which are insertable into the twopin holes 124 at theleft side 123 of thefirst base frame 12 or the twopin holes 154 at theright side 153 of thesecond base frame 15. By means of the weights of the two armrest frames 24, the two armrest frames 24 can be stably connected with thebase mount 10. To dismantle thearmrest frame 24 from thebase mount 10, the user only needs to upwardly take thearmrest frame 24 without the need of using any tools. - The two
seating cushions 28 are detachably disposed on atop side 103 of thebase mount 10. The detachable structure may have various designs. In this embodiment, the twoseating cushions 28 are directly placed on thebase mount 10. However, they can be fastened with thebase mount 10 by hook-and-loop fasteners or other fastening ways. Theseating cushion 28 is made by a foam core encased by a fabric cover, such that theseating cushion 28 is soft and compressible in its volume. - The two back supporting
cushions 30 are detachably disposed onfront sides 23 of theback supporting frames 20, respectively. The detachable structure may have various designs. In this embodiment, the two back supportingcushions 30 are directly placed on thebase mount 10 to lean on the two supportingframes 20. However, they can be fastened with theback supporting frames 20 by hook-and-loop fasteners or other fastening ways. Theback supporting cushion 30 is made by a foam core encased by a fabric cover, such that it is soft and compressible in its volume. - The two
armrest cushions 32 detachably covers on the two armrest frames 24, respectively. The detachable structure may have various designs. In this embodiment, eacharmrest cushion 32 has anaccommodation 34 with anopening 33 facing downwardly, such that thearmrest frame 24 can be inserted into theaccommodation 34 of thearmrest cushion 32 via theopening 33. That is, thearmrest cushion 32 is directly placed on thearmrest frame 24 to encase thearmrest frame 24 therein. Thearmrest cushion 32 is made by a foam core encased by a fabric cover, such that it is soft and compressible in its volume. - With the above-illustrated structural features, the parts of the
dismantlable sofa 1 can be conveniently and quickly assembled with and dismantled from each other by the user himself/herself with simple tools. - Further, the packing
assembly 2 of thedismantlable sofa 1 further provides the advantages of small size and convenience of transportation and storage. As shown inFIGS. 4 and 5 , after the parts of thesofa 1 have been dismantled from each other, thefirst base frame 12, thesecond base frame 15, the two back supportingframes 20 and the two armrest frames 24 are parallel arranged and stacked to collectively form alamination unit 36 in a way that thefirst base frame 12 and thesecond base frame 15 are arranged parallel to and spaced from each other, and theback supporting frames 20 and the armrest frames 24 are placed between the first and second base frames 12 and 15. Further, oneseating cushion 28 and one back supportingcushion 30 are collectively compressed and rolled to form acushion roll 38, theother seating cushion 28 and the otherback supporting cushion 30 are collectively compressed and rolled to form anothercushion roll 38, and the twoarmrest cushions 32 are collectively compressed and rolled to form athird cushion roll 38. These cushion rolls 38 thus obtained are then placed on thebottom side 37 of thelamination unit 36. and the two standposts 38 and the four legs 39 are placed into the internal spaces inside thelamination unit 36, and then all the parts are put into abox 40. By using thebox 40 to receive thebase mount 10, the two back supportingframes 20, the two armrest frames 24 and the cushion rolls 38 therein, the packingassembly 2 of thedismantlable sofa 1 is done completely. - Since the second length d2 of the
back supporting frame 20 and the third length d3 of thearmrest frame 24 are both smaller than the first length d1 of thefirst base frame 12 and the second width w2 of theback supporting frame 20 and the third width w3 of thearmrest frame 24 are both smaller than the first width w1 of thefirst base frame 12, the overall length and width of thelamination unit 36 will be respectively equal to the first length d1 and the first width w1, the length of eachcushion roll 38 will be approximately equal to the first width w1, and the sum of the diameters of the three cushion rolls 38 will be approximately equal to the first length d1 when the two back supportingframes 20 and the two armrest frames 24 are clamped between the first and second base frames 12 and 15. As a result, all parts of thedismantlable sofa 1 can be stacked to form like a cube and then placed into a normalcubic box 40, thereby minimizing the volume of the packingassembly 2. This design is totally different from the design of huge packaging volume of traditional sofas, and not only greatly reduces the volume of the sofa packaging, but also significantly reduces transportation and storage costs, thereby achieving the objective of the present invention. - Based on the technical features of the present invention, various modifications to the
dismantlable sofa 1 and itspacking assembly 2 may be made. For example,FIGS. 6-8 show a dismantlable sofa 1 a according to a second embodiment of the present invention, which is basically the same in structure as thedismantlable sofa 1 of the first embodiment, expect that thefirst base frame 12 a and thesecond base frame 15 a are not connected with each other by the associatedinsertion post 13 and theconnection hole 16 but by two bridgingbrackets 104. Each bridgingbracket 104 has two ends pivotally connected with thefirst base frame 12 a and thesecond base frame 15 a, respectively. As a result, the first and second base frames 12 a and 15 a are connected with each other and pivotally foldable relative to each other. Further, the stand posts 18 are screwingly threaded into the bridgingbrackets 104, respectively. After the base mount 10 a is folded, a space is still left between the first and second base frames 12 a and 15 a to receive theback supporting frames 20 a, the armrest frames 24 a and other parts. Further, because thefirst base frame 12 a needs not to provide the insertion posts 13, the first width w1 of thefirst base frame 12 a can be designed as being shorter than that of thefirst base frame 12 of the first embodiment, thereby further reducing the packaging volume of the packing assembly 2 a of the dismantlable sofa 1 a. -
FIGS. 9-11 show a dismantlable sofa 1 b according to a third embodiment of the present invention, which is basically the same in structure as the dismantlable sofa 1 a (two seater sofa) of the second embodiment, expect that the sofa 1 b of this embodiment is designed as being a three seater sofa having awider base mount 10 b composed of first and second base frames 12 b and 15 b, threeseating cushions 28 and three back supporting cushions 30. Further, there will be four cushion rolls 38 formed by compressing and rolling the cushions. As shown inFIG. 11 , onecushion roll 38 is arranged perpendicular to the other three cushion rolls, such that all parts can be put into thebox 40 b with optimal space arrangement to form apacking assembly 2 b that can be conveniently transported and stored. In another embodiment, the dismantlable sofa of the present application may be configured as being a four or mor seater sofa. - Furthermore, the
base mount 10 may be configured as having an integral structure without having two or more base frames, and the stand posts 18 may be connected with thebase mount 10 by anchoring connection, embedding connection or other ways. Moreover, thecushion roll 38 may be formed by compressing and rolling different parts, such as compressing and rolling two back supportingcushions 30, twoseating cushions 28 or a combination of two or more of various cushions. Except thebottom side 37 of thelamination unit 36. the cushion rolls 38 may be placed at other lateral sides, such as the top side, of thelamination unit 36 in a parallel or perpendicular manner, and the order where the parts are stacked one after another to form thelamination unit 36 may be changed in accordance with actual need. To reduce the volumes of the cushion rolls 38, the verticalback supporting frame 20 may be replaced by an inclined back supporting frame so as to reduce the volume of the lower half of theback supporting cushion 30, i.e., the volume of the part used for supporting a user’s waist. Alternately, the width of thearmrest frame 24 may be increased such that thearmrest cushion 32 can be made thinner. As such, thearmrest cushion 32 needs not to be compressed and rolled but to directly cover on thearmrest frame 24 during packing. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
