- The disclosure relates to curling devices and more particularly pertains to a new curling device for curling a user's eyelashes. The device comprises a dish with a diameter of no more than 3.0 inches and a lip that is oriented at an angle of no more than 110.0 degrees with the dish. The user's eyelashes are compressed against the lip and the lip is drawn along a full length of the user's eyelashes.
- The prior art relates to curling devices including a variety of eyelash curlers that, at minimum, include a pair of jaws pivotally coupled to each other for engaging and curling eyelashes. The prior art discloses an ergonomic cosmetic applicator that has various curves integrated into the applicator for curing eyelashes and applying cosmetics.
- The prior art discloses a variety of curling implements that has a concavely arcuate element, against which eyelashes are compressed, for curling the eyelashes when the concavely arcuate element is drawn along the eyelashes.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a dish that has a diameter of no more than 3.0 inches thereby facilitating the dish to be gripped between a user's index finger and the user's thumb. The dish has a lip extending around a perimeter of the dish thereby facilitating a selected number of the user's eyelashes to be positioned against the lip. The lip has a length of no more than 1.0 inches and the lip is oriented at an angle of no more than 110.0 degrees with respect to the dish. The user compresses the selected number of eyelashes between the user's thumb and the lip to impart a curl into the selected number of eyelashes when the lip is pulled along a full length of the selected number of eyelashes.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of an eyelash curling assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a bottom perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a bottom view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 6 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new curling device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 6 , theeyelash curling assembly 10 generally comprises adish 12 that has a diameter of no more than 3.0 inches thereby facilitating thedish 12 to be gripped between a user'sindex finger 14 and the user'sthumb 16. Thedish 12 has alip 18 extending around a perimeter of thedish 12 thereby facilitating a selected number of the user'seyelashes 20 to be positioned against thelip 18 such that the selected number of the user'seyelashes 20 extends into an interior of thedish 12. Thelip 18 has a length of no more than 1.0 inches thereby facilitating thelip 18 to accommodate the length of the user'seyelashes 20. Moreover, thelip 18 is oriented at an angle of no more than 110.0 degrees with respect to thedish 12 thereby facilitating the user to compress the selected number ofeyelashes 20 between the user'sthumb 16 and thelip 18. In this way thelip 18 can impart a curl into the selected number ofeyelashes 20 when thelip 18 is pulled along a full length of the selected number ofeyelashes 20. - The
dish 12 has afirst surface 22, asecond surface 24 and aperimeter edge 26 extending between thefirst surface 22 and thesecond surface 24, and theperimeter edge 26 is continuously arcuate about acenter point 28 of thefirst surface 22 such that thedish 12 has a circular shape. Thelip 18 extends away from thefirst surface 22, thelip 18 is aligned with theperimeter edge 26 and thelip 18 is coextensive with theperimeter edge 26. Thelip 18 has an inwardly facingsurface 30 that is directed toward thecenter point 28 of thefirst surface 22. The inwardly facingsurface 30 is oriented at the angle of no more than 110.0 degrees with respect to thefirst surface 22. Additionally, thelip 18 has a distal edge 32 with respect to thefirst surface 22 and the inwardly facingsurface 30 has the length that is no more than 1.0 inch between thefirst surface 22 and the distal edge 32. - In use, the
dish 12 is gripped between the user'sindex finger 14 and the user'sthumb 16 and thelip 18 is positioned above the selected number of the user'seyelashes 20 at a point that is positioned next to the user'seyelid 34. The selected number of the user'seyelashes 20 is compressed against the inwardly facingsurface 30 of thelip 18. Continuing, thedish 12 is drawn away from the user'seyelid 34 such that thelip 18 travels along the full length of the selected number of the user'seyelashes 20. In this way the selected number of the user'seyelashes 20 is curled as the distal edge 32 of thelip 18 moves along the selected number of the user'seyelashes 20. The process of curling the user'seyelashes 20 can be repeated as many times as necessary to impart the desired amount of curl into the user'seyelashes 20. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
