Abstract

A pack of cardboard with a base, a fixed lid and an encircling side wall, has a reclosable removal opening provided in the lid. The removal opening may be covered by a movably arranged cardboard layer. More than one cardboard layer may be provided for covering the removal opening.

Description

    CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • Applicant claims priority under 35 U.S.C. § 119 of German Application No. 10 2021 124 803.5 filed Sep. 24, 2021, the disclosure of which is incorporated by reference.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention
  • The invention relates to a pack of cardboard with a base, a fixed lid and an encircling side wall.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • A great diversity of packs of the stated kind are known, but are not suitable for portion-by-portion removal of content.
  • Plastics material packs provided with a snap lid or the like are therefore frequently used.
  • However, this is unacceptable from the aspect of compatibility with the environment.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The invention therefore has the object of creating a pack of cardboard suitable for portion-by-portion removal of content.
  • According to the invention this object is fulfilled by provision of a reclosable removal opening in the lid.
  • It is thereby possible to carry out portion-by-portion removal of content.
  • In that case it has proved very advantageous if the removal opening is covered by a movably arranged cardboard layer.
  • The removal opening can be selectably closed or opened by this cardboard layer.
  • In this connection it is also very advantageous if a plurality of cardboard layers for covering the removal opening is provided.
  • A greater degree of stability of the covering and thus improved sealing are thereby ensured.
  • According to a further embodiment of the invention it is also very advantageous if the cover of the removal opening is provided with a mechanism which ensures secure fixing, but nevertheless sufficient movability.
  • It is thus ensured that the cover remains in the respectively desired position closing or freeing the removal opening.
  • It is also extremely advantageous if the cover is constructed as a cardboard disc.
  • A cardboard disc can free an opening by, for example, rotation.
  • In that case it has proved particularly advantageous if the cardboard disc is provided with a fulcrum, wherein the fulcrum can be constructed as a rotary bearing of plastic, metal, adhesive or cardboard.
  • A secure fastening and stable rotary bearing are thus created.
  • According to an embodiment of the invention it is also very advantageous if the cover has an indentation, recess or the like.
  • Selective opening of the removal opening can be ensured by this embodiment. If the indentation, recess or the like is brought into coincidence with the removal opening, this is open.
  • An advantageous development of the invention is present if, in the case of a plurality of cardboard layers for the cover, these are fixedly connected together.
  • The fixed connection ensures that these cannot be rotated or displaced relative to one another, but form a unit.
  • It is also extremely advantageous if the indentations, recesses or the like of the cardboard layers are matched to one another.
  • It is thus ensured that optimal sealing of the removal opening and also smooth freeing thereof take place.
  • According to a development of the invention it is also very advantageous if, in the case of a plurality of cardboard layers, at least one cardboard layer is arranged above the lid and one below the lid.
  • It is thereby ensured that the removal opening is covered in the best possible way. Optimal sealing is provided. In addition, unauthorized opening of the removal opening can be made only with difficulty.
  • An advantageous development of the invention is also present if an integrity closure is provided.
  • It can thus be ensured that prior opening of the pack can be recognized.
  • In that case it has proved very advantageous if the integrity closure is defined by a weakening line and can be connected with the cover layer.
  • The pack is opened for the first time by tearing open the weakening line.
  • According to a further embodiment it is also particularly advantageous if a part of a cardboard layer is formed to be removable.
  • According to the invention it is similarly very advantageous if a covering of cardboard, paper or the like is removably arranged on the cover layer.
  • Through removal of a part of the uppermost cardboard layer the first opening of the pack, i.e. turning, is made possible. It is also conceivable for a part to be detached from the uppermost cardboard layer and thus a removal opening created. Moreover, it is conceivable for a part of the lid to be fixedly connected with one of the cardboard layers and at the time of first opening torn from this and thus a removal opening created.
  • It is also conceivable to provide a covering of cardboard, paper or the like which is fastened to the pack on the uppermost cardboard layer by, for example, glueing, sealing, clipping or in another way and has to be initially removed before the first opening.
  • According to an embodiment it is also very advantageous if a grip part is provided at the cover.
  • The cover can be more easily moved by a grip part.
  • In that case it has proved very advantageous if the grip part is formed to be foldable.
  • Thus, it is conceivable that the grip part initially lies flat and is folded up only when needed and thus then enables easy operation.
  • A folding box blank for formation of a pack according to the invention is also very advantageous.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • A blank for a cylindrical pack is denoted by 1 in FIG. 1 . A base 2 and a lid 3 are provided in addition to this casing 1. A removal opening 4 is arranged eccentrically in the lid 3.
  • The base 2, just like the lid 3, is crimped to the casing 1. It is also conceivable for the base 2 and/or lid 3 to comprise the casing or be inserted thereinto. Apart from crimping, it is also conceivable for the base 2 and/or lid 3 to be glued in, sealed or fastened in another way.
  • In this embodiment the casing 1 is flanged with respect to the lid 3 onto this. The flanging 5 thus projects somewhat into the lid area 3.
  • An outer closure disc 6 is arranged on the lid 3. This closure disc 6 has a cut-out 7 corresponding with the removal opening 4. A fold-line 8 intersecting the closure lid 6 is provided opposite the cut-out 7. The contour of the closure disc 6 is formed to be curved in this region. The curved contour 9 can in that case be defined by a weakening line 10, in which case the region 11 separated by the weakening line 10 is glued to the lid 3.
  • Provided at the center point of the closure disc 6 is a rotary bearing 12 which in this embodiment is executed as a plastics material rivet. Other embodiments of paper or metal are conceivable.
  • The rotary bearing 12 in turn is also mounted in the lid 3.
  • For first opening, the weakening line 10 is now broken open and the curved contour 9 folded upwardly. A hand grip results, by which the closure disc 6 can be turned so that the cut-out 7 and the removal opening 4 are brought into coincidence.
  • Due to the inwardly projecting flanging 5 the closure disc 6 has to be formed to be slightly smaller than the lid 3.
  • In order to achieve improved sealing of the removal opening a second closure disc 16, which is similarly provided with a corresponding cut-out 7 and is arranged below the lid 3, is provided. The closure disc 6 and the closure disc 16 are connected together by way of the rotary bearing 12 to be secure against relative rotation.
  • The closure disc 16 is entrained when the closure disc 6 is rotated.
  • Due to the flanging arranged only at the outside the closure disc 16 can be formed with exactly the same size diameter as the lid 3, thus completely covers this.
  • The cut-out 17 can also be formed as a sieve or the like so that a sprinkler is formed.
  • It is also conceivable for a plurality of cut- outs 7 and 17 to be provided, in which case the cut-outs 17 can then be of different construction and thus make possible different functions in the removal of content.
  • In this connection it is also conceivable for the closure discs 6 and 16 to be glued or sealed to one another in the center. The lid 3 then has in this region an appropriate cut-out through which the glueing takes place.
  • The pack can be constructed to be stackable, i.e. the base is provided with, for example, an edge capable of engaging in a corresponding shaping of the lid.
  • Alternatives to the afore-described integrity closures are also conceivable. Thus, for example, the closure disc 6 can be glued at a point to the lid and at the time of first opening this glueing has to be broken. Securing by adhesive strips or the like is also conceivable. Equally, it is conceivable for a perforation 10 to have to be broken open in order to create rotatability. Here, for example, the edge of the uppermost layer 6 of the opening mechanism can be connected with the pack by way of a perforation 10 or other weakening line.
  • In that case it is also conceivable for the removal opening 4 of the lid 3 to be closed and for the material present there to have to be removed by separation in order to create a removal opening. For that purpose, one of the layers of the opening mechanism can be connected with this material part. The removal opening is created at the time of first opening.
  • It is also conceivable for a label or other covering 20 of paper, cardboard or the like to be arranged above the opening mechanism and fastened there by glueing, sealing or clipping. This then has to be first removed. This covering 20 can, for example, be glued or sealed onto a projecting edge of the pack casing.
  • Moreover, it is conceivable that in the uppermost layer 6 of the opening mechanism the removal opening therein is closed and has to be first created by separation of a material part 21.
  • The removal openings 7 and 17 can have the most diverse shapes.
  • Although only a few embodiments of the present invention have been shown and described, it is to be understood that many changes and modifications may be made thereunto without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.

Claims (17)

1: A pack of cardboard with a base (2), a fixed lid (3) and an encircling side wall (1), wherein a reclosable removal opening (4) is provided in the lid (3).
2: The pack according to claim 1,
wherein the removal opening (4) is covered by a movably arranged cardboard layer (6, 16).
3: The pack according to claim 1, claim 1, wherein a plurality of cardboard layers (6, 16) for covering the removal opening (4) is provided.
4: The pack according to claim 1, wherein the cover of the removal opening (4) is provided with a mechanism which ensures secure fixing, but nevertheless sufficient movability.
5: The pack according to claim 1, wherein the cover is constructed as a cardboard disc (6, 16).
6: The pack according to claim 5, wherein the cardboard disc (6, 16) is provided with a fulcrum (12), wherein the fulcrum (12) can be constructed as a rotary bearing of plastic, metal, adhesive or cardboard.
7: The pack according to claim 1, wherein the cover has an indentation (11), recess or the like.
8: The pack according to claim 1, wherein in the case of a plurality of cardboard layers (6, 16) for the cover these are fixedly connected together.
9: The pack according to claim 1, wherein the indentations, recesses or the like of the cardboard layers (6, 16) are matched to one another.
10: The pack according to claim 1, wherein in the case of a plurality of cardboard layers (6, 16) at least one cardboard layer (6) is arranged above the lid and one (16) below the lid.
11: The pack according to claim 1, wherein an integrity closure is provided.
12: The pack according to claim 11, wherein the integrity closure is defined by a weakening line (10) and can be connected with the cover layer (6).
13: The pack according to claim 11, wherein a part of the cardboard layer (6) is constructed to be removable.
14: Pack according to claim 11, wherein a covering (20) of cardboard, paper or the like is removably arranged on the cover layer.
15: The pack according to claim 1, wherein a grip part (9) is provided at the cover (6).
16: The pack according to claim 15, wherein the grip part (9) is formed to be foldable.
17: A folding box blank for formation of a pack according to claim 1.
