Description

    FIELD OF INVENTION
  • This invention relates to fashion design and accessory method and more particularly the invention concerns a clothing with design for retention of an apparel accessory on the surface of a garment or clothing.
  • BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
  • A necklace or neckwear is an article of jewelry that is worn around the neck. Necklaces may have been one of the earliest types of adornment worn by humans. They often serve ceremonial, religious, magical, or funerary purposes and are also used as symbols of wealth and status, given that they are commonly made of precious metals and stones. Jewellery (UK) or jewelry (U.S.) consists of decorative items worn for personal adornment, such as brooches, rings, necklaces, earrings, pendants, bracelets, and cufflinks. Jewelry may be attached to the body or the clothes
  • The main component of a necklace is the band, chain, or cord that wraps around the neck. These are most often rendered in precious metals such as gold, silver, and platinum. Necklaces often have additional attachments suspended or inset into the necklace itself. These attachments typically include pendants, lockets, amulets, crosses, and precious and semi-precious materials such as diamond, pearls, rubies, emeralds, garnets, and sapphires. They are made with many different types of materials and are used for many things and sometimes classed as clothing.
  • For the purpose of this subject matter, neckwear is referred to as wearable items that generally are in the form of an enclosed loop of material that is worn around the neck to serve aesthetic or functional purposes.
  • Men's jewelry, specifically neckwear, has increased in popularity but with some problems that arise from wearing neckwear and jewelry including fashion jewelry. Most neckwear lengths chosen for men typically fall at the collar bone, which is usually around 20 inches in length. If the necklace includes a medallion, cross, or dog tag, a slightly longer length is suggested. Multiple neckwear and jewelry of varying lengths may be worn for a layered look. The pendant, medallion, or cross is unintentionally and usually unknowingly positioned incorrectly especially when worn directly on the skin or neck, (such as by being flipped), this act, further diminishes the visual and aesthetic effect as well as not fully serving the intentions of the jewelry wearer. Allergic reaction to jewelry usually occurs when your skin comes into contact with certain metals present in your jewelry or piercings. This reaction is commonly known as contact dermatitis, and its main symptom is a red, itchy rash. While this rash isn't contagious or life-threatening, it can be very uncomfortable. Wearing your necklace or jewelry on your skin for longer periods of time can potentially damage your jewelry, we expose our skin to various elements and chemicals on a daily basis. This exposure comes from products like skin oils, perfumes, soaps, and lotions. Metals like Nickel, silver, and copper get used with gold plated jewelry in order to make it affordable and durable. Those other metals are what cause skin discoloration and tarnishing. Fashion jewelry and neckwear such as (alloys, copper, nickel, sterling silver and cheap decorative products) have a higher chance of becoming tarnished quickly when it is made in contact with the skin. Jewelries worn directly on the neck or skin can easily become loosed or loosen during movement or activity, and the pendants are prone to flail freely and hit the wearer in the head and face. This can result in injury to the wearer, as well as damage to the neckwear item(s).
  • DISCLOSURE OF PRIOR ARTS
  • Prior art are similar to the invention; however, they do not solve the above issues and are completely different in style and application. System for retention of an apparel accessory with application Ser. No. 03/815,392 and publication number 1615520 discloses a system for retention of an apparel accessory on the surface of a garment.
  • The present invention is an upper garment (such as a t-shirt, hoodie, or a button-up shirt) modified to incorporate neckwear retainers on the collar of the garment, so as to avoid having the user wear their neckwear loosely and directly on their neck. The retainers hold and retain the jewelry at the desired or most functional and fashionable angle, and reduce the chances of the neckwear item getting flipped or entangled, allowing for increased assurance in the desired look and purpose of the neckwear being worn. The design of the retainers of the present invention holds the neckwear at specified locations around the neck collar and directly onto the collar and garment fabric, and eliminating the direct contact between the jewelry item and the wearer's skin.
  • SUMMARY OF INVENTION
  • The following summary discloses all the features and functions of the present Invention, by considering the whole specifications, claims, drawings and abstract, one can easily get a full understanding of the invention and it functions.
  • A clothing with retention means for jewelry, necklace and neckwear which comprises of a plurality of retainer loops of an elongated piece of fabric, which does not create metal-on-metal contact and abrasion between the jewelry and the retainers. The length of said loop of fabric is sufficient in dimension to accommodate a neckwear and is strategically positioned in the center, left and right side of the shoulder, on the clavicle and proximal to a collarbone of a user of the accessory system, said loop has the retainer loops affixed, therefore removing the need for the user to attach the retainers on their own, as well as the need for the user to decide where to affix the retainers and secured with sewing thread (or other attaching means, such as adhesives). Furthermore, the type of clothing of the present invention loop retainers, will have removable variations, and will primarily be affixed and incorporated into the garment.
  • Additionally, the retainer loops, while having variations for different materials, will primarily be made of fabric, such as cotton, which can be washed without causing worries.
  • The term neckwear as used herein are wearable goods that generally are in the form of an enclosed loop of material that is worn around the neck to serve aesthetic or functional purposes which includes but are not limited to Jewelry necklaces (“chains”), Fashion jewelry necklaces, decorative necklaces of various materials, necklaces for functional item retention, such as whistle-holding or stopwatch-holding necklaces, etc.
  • It is an object of the present invention to provide a fashion accessory system capable of providing a coordinated and complete fashion statement, between the neck and collarbone of a user that is, beneficial in appearance to the outfit of the user as a whole.
  • It is a yet further object of the present invention to provide a new and unique method for adorning neckwear and accessory on a garment having various interchangeable elements thereof specifically to hold the neckwear in the direction and orientation that is intended by the wearer, and will provide greater assurance of the pendants on the chain are also facing in the correct direction.
  • It is yet a further object of the present invention to provide a new and unique method for adorning neckwear and accessory on a garment without it coming in direct contact with the skin or neck of the wearer and avoiding irritations and rash.
