Abstract

An apparatus characterized as an undergarment having a front portion disposed between the crotch and waist areas of the apparatus comprised of non-permeable elastomeric material and a plurality of perforations, positioned so that when the apparatus is worn, by a user having genitals characterized as a protrusion or penis, the genitals may remain securely contoured to the abdomen while portions of the genital skin pass though the plurality of perforations so that the user may receive external stimulation to the genitals directly. The apparatus may have cutouts exposing an anus area for being penetrated by an external object. The inventive apparatus lends itself to alleviating gender dysphoria of penis-having people during sexual intimacy. Embodiments also lend themselves to being used by preoperative transgender women and non-binary people for an enhanced comfort during sexual intimacy.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates generally to an apparatus for penis-having people and more specifically alleviating gender and genital dysphoria during sexual intimacy for the wearer. Dysphoria is a profound state of unease or dissatisfaction. The term is often used to refer to gender dysphoria, experienced by people whose gender identity does not align with their assigned at birth sex. Common reactions to dysphoria include emotional distress; in some cases, even physical distress. Gender dysphoria is often accompanied by Genital Dysphoria. Genital Dysphoria occurs when a person's genitals appear, function and behave in a way that is not congruent with their gender identity. Genital dysphoria is often exacerbated during sexual intimacy due to the nature of involvement of the sex organs. In the context of this type of dysphoria the descriptions and method of use will be referring to penis-having people (for whom the invention is not exclusive to but are its intended users). When aroused during sexual intimacy the genitals may extrude away from the person's body making it susceptible to specific unwanted contact with external objects as well as more visible, both of which exacerbate genital dysphoria. This dysphoria is due to the person having a gender identity in which their genitals do not protrude and are flush with their body and desire to engage sexually in the embodiment of that genital configuration. A method exists in which a person may hold their genitals against their abdomen to avoid the aforementioned issues at the cost of diminishing their mobility and use of their hand and furthermore creating a barrier for stimulation to be received by the person's genitals. A method exists to surgically render a person's genitals permanently into a configuration that more closely resembles that of their gender identity and desire. This method's shortcomings are that of inaccessibility due to a plurality of factors including but not limited to age, health, finances, surgeon availability, legislation, etc. Undergarments that claim to alleviate gender or genital dysphoria structurally prevent physical arousal and lack access to genital stimulation. Lightweight permeable undergarments such as tight fitting underwear may be used in an attempt to alleviate the aforementioned issue at the cost of lack of direct access to the wearer's genitals, decreased sensation, skin irritation to the wearer and potentially the wearer's sexual partner caused by fibers in the material, anatomical injury and the absorption of microorganisms into the undergarment. Non-permeable garments lack a method for direct access to the genitals while providing a sustained genital configuration that contours the genitals to the abdomen. For these reasons, there exists a need for improvements that would help reduce gender dysphoria while simultaneously allowing for physical arousal and direct stimulation.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known methods for alleviating genital dysphoria while simultaneously providing access to efficient genital stimulation, the present invention provides a new apparatus and method of use wherein the same can be utilized for alleviating genital dysphoria while simultaneously allowing access to efficient genital stimulation.
  • The present invention is an apparatus shaped like an undergarment to be used during sexual intimacy.
  • The shape, size, and material of the garment contribute to its ability to comfortably secure and contour the genitals up against the abdomen. The most prominent feature of this invention is the configuration of material specific to the front center area of the garment and its described method of use. This area is distinct from the rest of the garment as such that the material is elastomeric, non-permeable and perforated. When the garment is worn, the genitals are elongated vertically and compressed horizontally by the interior side of this garment portion. The perforations allow multiple segments of the anterior genital skin to pass through from the interior of the garment to the exterior. This allows external stimulation to efficiently transfer to the genitals through the exposed areas of skin while the genitals remain comfortably flush to the wearer's body without the use of hands or some other obstructive material.
  • There has thus been outlined, the more important features of the invention in order that the detailed description thereof may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the invention that will be described hereinafter and that will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto. In this respect, before explaining at least one embodiment of the invention in detail, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. The invention is capable of other embodiments and of being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein are for the purpose of the description and should not be regarded as limiting.
  • A primary object of the present invention is to provide a genital dysphoria alleviating wearable to be used in conjunction with sexual intimacy.
  • A second object is to provide an apparatus that positions the genitals securely against the abdomen while allowing direct stimulation to the genitals.
  • An additional objective is to provide an apparatus with a plurality of locations to which the anterior genital skin will be accessible to direct stimulation that does not compromise the ability to contour the genitals.
  • Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become obvious to the reader and it is intended that these objects and advantages are within the scope of the present invention. To the accomplishment of the above and related objects, this invention may be embodied in the form illustrated in the accompanying drawings, attention being called to the fact, however, that the drawings are illustrative only, and that changes may be made in the specific construction illustrated and described within the scope of the appended claims

  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Turning now descriptively to the drawings, in which similar reference characters denote similar elements throughout the several views, FIGS. 1-4 illustrate. As to a further discussion of the manner of usage and operation of the present invention, the same should be apparent from the above description. Accordingly, no further discussion relating to the manner of usage and operation will be provided. With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to those skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention. Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.
  • Referring generally to FIGS. 1a, 1b, 2a, and 2b
  • The inventive apparatus 200 should be constructed to accommodate a lower human torso 204. In some embodiments the portion extending down from the waist is a bikini-styled portion or a tight-short style or a thong or a brief-style or having material removed from the buttock region. In an embodiment, the non-permeable material 202 has at least one of: a manufactured deficiency in the material and a manufactured plurality of openings. The size and shape of the perforations 203 should not be configured such that it compromises the ability of the material 202 to apply enough pressure on the genitals 205 causing it to partition away from the abdomen. The size and shape of the perforations 203 should not be configured such that it allows the entirety or substantiality of the genitals 205 to pass through from the interior to the exterior of the aforementioned area 202.
  • In some embodiments the plurality of perforations 203 on the front non-permeable area 202 can be disposed anywhere vertically or horizontally on the aforementioned area and in different shapes and sizes. The importance of the aforementioned non-permeable material applies to the function of its cleaning and storage. Non-permeable materials of certain embodiments can be defined in four ways; their nontoxicity, their resistance to the growth or absorption of microorganisms, their elastomeric properties, their puncture resistance. Suitable materials include but are not limited to Silicon, rubber, latex, and nitrile. All areas 201 not directly covering the genitals 205 can be comprised of materials characterized as permeable and soft. Examples of materials for these portions 201 may include cottons, silk, polyester, rayon, spandex, bamboo, hemp, leather, nylon. In other embodiments the material of the entire apparatus 200 is synonymous with that of the front non-permeable area 202.
  • Now referring to FIGS. 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d, 4e, and 4f , as to the general construction of the apparatus. In an embodiment, the apparatus can be constructed by cutting out a pattern 300 from a single sheet of fabric. Further cutting out an area defining a portion extending between a crotch area and an upper front portion 301. Further with the pattern 300 laying horizontally flush to a non-porous planar surface, place and secure a mold 303 with a circumference slightly exceeding the circumference of the absence of material 302 over the area defining the portion extending between the crotch area and upper front portion 301 and injecting through a designated port 304, into the aforementioned mold, an uncured non-permeable elastomeric material and allowing to cure. Once cured remove mold to reveal a non-permeable elastomeric material 305 area now integrated with the fabric 300 that is complete with perforations 306, and adhere appropriate seams 308 of the pattern with bonding agents 307 or sewing method to form the garment. Further if the mold 303 does not allow for achieving the formation of features characterized as perforations 306 a mechanical device may be used post-cure to achieve the same.
