  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 through 7, there are illustrated various views of a multifunctional cosmetology table 100 in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. Cosmetology table 100 allows a cosmetologist to more efficiently perform works on a client's hair (for example, apply highlighter, balayage, keratin smoothing, chemical hair relaxer, etc. to the hair). Cosmetology table 100 can also conveniently hold tools (such as combs, scissors, air blowers, etc.) for the cosmetologist.
  • As shown in FIGS. 1 through 7, cosmetology table 100 comprises a tabletop 100, a support post 200, a basket 300 (optional), and a base 400. In one embodiment, tabletop 100 includes a recessed portion 110, a trim protector 115 on an edge of recessed portion 110, an inclination adjustment mechanism 140 attached to a rear surface of tabletop 100, and a protrusive lip 150 at the bottom side of tabletop 100. In one embodiment, tabletop 100 has a smooth upper surface, such that a cosmetologist can easily perform work on the client's hair. Tabletop 100 can be made of a stainless-steel material or covered by a thin sheet of stainless-steel material having a smooth/polished surface. It is appreciated that the tabletop 100 can be made of or covered by any other suitable materials, such that its upper surface is not easily stained by or reacted with hair care chemicals.
  • In one embodiment, tabletop 100 optionally includes one or more towel hangers 120 attached to a bottom side of tabletop 100 and/or one or more object holders 130 attached to left and right sides of tabletop 100. It is appreciated that towel hanger 120 and/or object holders 130 can be attached to any appropriate locations of tabletop 100.
  • In one embodiment, recessed portion 110 is configured to receive the client's neck so as to place the client's hair on a top surface 120 of tabletop 100. Trim protector 115 can be made of a soft material (e.g., rubber, foamy plastic, and the like) so as to enhance the client's comfort level when the cosmetologist performs works on the client's hair. Protrusive lip 150 can stop excessive liquid material (e.g., color liquid, and the like) applied to the client's hair from running to the floor.
  • As shown in FIGS. 3, 4, and 5, tabletop 100 is connected to one end of support post 200 and is pivotable about a pin 500. Inclination adjustment mechanism 140 may include one or more arc-shaped bars having a plurality of positioning points, such that tabletop 100 can be tilted about pin 500 relative to a horizontal plane and locked in position at various pre-determined angles α (e.g., 30 degrees, 45 degrees, and 60 degrees) in accordance with the positioning points. The other end of support post 200 is mechanically coupled to base 400. Basket 300 may be optionally formed on base 400 to hold additional tools for the cosmetologist, with support post 200 passing through its center. It is appreciated that other suitable inclination adjustment mechanisms may be used to change the inclination angle α of tabletop 100. In one embodiment, the length of support post 200 can be adjusted to change the height of cosmetology table 100.
  • In one embodiment, base 400 may include a plurality of wheels 410 and one or more brakes 420 for stopping wheels 410 from further rotation. A cosmetologist can then roll out cosmetology table 100 proximate to a salon chair where a client sits and stabilize cosmetology table 100 using brakes 420 whenever needed. Additionally, one or more electrical power outlets (not shown) may be provided on base 400 to supply power (either from a battery on base 400 or from a wall outlet) for the cosmetologist's electric tools.
  • Referring to FIGS. 8 through 14, there is illustrated various views of object holder 130 of multifunctional cosmetology table 100 as shown in FIG. 1, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown, object holder 130 includes a bottom through hole 132 for receiving, for example, an air blower, and a plurality of side openings 134. Object holder 130 may additionally include a coupling mechanism 136 through which object holder 130 can be attached to a side of tabletop 100. It is appreciated that object holder 130 can be made of a metal or a plastic material.
  • For the purposes of describing and defining the present disclosure, it is noted that terms of degree (e.g., “substantially,” “slightly,” “about,” “comparable,” etc.) may be utilized herein to represent the inherent degree of uncertainty that may be attributed to any quantitative comparison, value, measurement, or other representation. Such terms of degree may also be utilized herein to represent the degree by which a quantitative representation may vary from a stated reference (e.g., about 10% or less) without resulting in a change in the basic function of the subject matter at issue.
