Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to a case for accommodating an air compressor which is capable of turning on/off the air compressor effectively.
- A conventional air compressor is applied to inflate air into an object, such as an air cushion or a tire. The air compressor is in a small size and is portable manually, wherein a direct current (DC) power supply or a cigarette lighter receptacle is configured to supply electrical power to the air compressor. The air compressor is accommodated in a case, and the air compressor is driven by a piston after the piston is actuated by a motor to move reciprocately in a cylinder, and the air compressor compresses and supplies air into the object, thus inflating the air into the object.
- Referring to
FIG. 7 , a conventional case for accommodating the air compressor contains a first part 4 and a second part 5. The first part 4 includes aswitch seat 41 mounted on a bottom thereof, and theswitch seat 41 has a firstpositive terminal 411 and a secondpositive terminal 412 which are spaced by apartition 51 after the first part 4 and the second part 5 are connected. When exerting a force on the case, thepartition 51 of the second part 5 presses the firstpositive terminal 411 and the secondpositive terminal 412 or two wires on the firstpositive terminal 411 and the secondpositive terminal 412 respectively, such that the firstpositive terminal 411 and the secondpositive terminal 412 are electrically conducted, and abutton 410 of theswitch seat 41 cannot be turned on/off easily. Accordingly, the motor operates continuously to inflate the air into the tire, thus burning the motor and/or breaking the tire. - It is important to improve the case for accommodating the air compressor so that the electrical power is supplied to the air compressor or the air compressor inflates the air into the tire quickly.
- The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages.
- The primary aspect of the present invention is to provide a case for accommodating an air compressor which contains the first case, the second case connected with the
first part 1, the first part includes the fixing face, the receiving orifice defined on the first face and configured to receive the switch seat, the stop rib extending around the distal end of the receiving orifice so as to fix the switch seat, and the spacing element extending from the bottom of the stop rib relative to the receiving orifice so as to space the first positive terminal of the switch seat from the second positive terminal of the switch seat, such that the wire connected on the first positive terminal does not contact with the wire connected on the second positive terminal. -
FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing the assembly of a case for accommodating an air compressor according to a first embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing the exploded components of the case for accommodating the air compressor according to the first embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional perspective view showing the assembly of a part of the case for accommodating the air compressor according to the first embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional perspective view showing the exploded components of a part of the case for accommodating the air compressor according to the first embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 5 is a cross sectional view showing the assembly of a part of the case for accommodating the air compressor according to the first embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional perspective view showing the exploded components of a part of a case for accommodating an air compressor according to a second embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 7 is a side plan view showing the assembly of a part of a conventional case for accommodating an air compressor. - With reference to
FIGS. 1 and 2 , a case for accommodating an air compressor 3 according to a first embodiment of the present invention comprises: afirst part 1 and asecond part 2 connected with thefirst part 2 so that the air compressor 3 is accommodated in an accommodation space between thefirst part 1 and thesecond part 2. - Referring to
FIGS. 2-5 , thefirst part 1 is in a rectangular frame shape and includes afixing face 10, areceiving orifice 11 defined on thefirst face 10 and configured to receive aswitch seat 14, astop rib 12 extending around a distal end of thereceiving orifice 11 so as to fix theswitch seat 14, and aspacing element 13 extending from a bottom of thestop rib 12 relative to thereceiving orifice 11 and formed in a U shape so as to space a firstpositive terminal 141 on a bottom of theswitch seat 14 from a secondpositive terminal 142 on the bottom of theswitch seat 14, such that a wire connected on the firstpositive terminal 141 does not contact with a wire connected on the secondpositive terminal 142. In a second embodiment, aspacing element 13 is formed in an L shape, as illustrated inFIG. 6 . - Referring to
FIG. 5 , after thefirst part 1 is connected with thesecond part 2, the firstpositive terminal 141 of theswitch seat 14 is spaced from the secondpositive terminal 142 of theswitch seat 14 by thespacing element 13 so that the wire connected with the firstpositive terminal 141 does not contact with the wire connected with the secondpositive terminal 142 of theswitch seat 14. Furthermore, thesecond part 2 does not press the firstpositive terminal 141 and the secondpositive terminal 142 when connecting with thefirst part 1. - Accordingly, the case for accommodating the air compressor comprises the
first case 1, thesecond case 2 connected with thefirst part 1. Thefirst part 1 includes thefixing face 10, thereceiving orifice 11 defined on thefirst face 10 and configured to receive theswitch seat 14, thestop rib 12 extending around the distal end of thereceiving orifice 11 so as to fix theswitch seat 14, thespacing element 13 extending from the bottom of thestop rib 12 relative to thereceiving orifice 11 so as to space the firstpositive terminal 141 of theswitch seat 14 from the secondpositive terminal 142 of theswitch seat 14, such that the wire connected on the firstpositive terminal 141 does not contact with the wire connected on the secondpositive terminal 142. Furthermore, thesecond part 2 does not press the firstpositive terminal 141 and the secondpositive terminal 142 when connecting with thefirst part 1. - While the preferred embodiments of the invention have been set forth for the purpose of disclosure, modifications of the disclosed embodiments of the invention as well as other embodiments thereof may occur to those skilled in the art. Accordingly, the appended claims are intended to cover all embodiments which do not depart from the spirit and scope of the invention
