Abstract
A baseball cap with knitted and air permeable seamless crown formed as a one whole piece, having the crown and a peak; the crown has a dome shape, and is knitted by blended use of polyester yarn and shaping filaments; two sides of an interior side of the crown are each provided with several partial binding off regions; a circular sweatband is provided near a lower edge of an inner wall of the interior side of the crown.
Description
- The present invention relates to the technical field of cap, and more specifically relates to a baseball cap with knitted and air permeable seamless crown formed as a one whole piece.
- Nowadays, a knitted seamless baseball cap available in the market uses the binding off technique for a cylindrical crown such that a top opening is converged and closed and a lower large opening is left opened such that a space is created, and then a head mold is used for final adjustment and ironing to form a shape of the finished cap.
- However, the cap manufactured according to the above technique has some disadvantages:
- 1. The binding off leaves obvious traces on the crown that gives an impression that the cap is not made delicately; the raw product does not conform to the shape of a human head and requires subsequent processing and formation to obtain the shape of a wearable cap;
- The materials used, the patterns and the types of stitches have no variations.
- The number of stitches is fixed, thereby not flexible in size adjustment of the cap.
- Product scrap rate is high during manufacturing.
- The present invention is a baseball cap with knitted and air permeable seamless crown formed as a one whole piece. The crown is a one whole piece and is air permeable, and is knitted by blended use of polyester yarn and shaping filaments. A position of a hollowed space is predetermined, and then the two materials are blended during knitting. A desired shape of the cap may be knitted using rows of flat knitting machine needles, such that multiple variations can be achieved: variations of size and type of stitches, mix and match of materials and colors etc., and all these variations can be further mixed, combined and modified. Accordingly, the cap has enhanced potential for variations, and thus overcoming the disadvantage and deficiencies of the prior art. The knitted piece is being heat pressed by a mold such that the shaping filaments melt, and then cools down to form its shape, wherein the knitted piece attain a 3D shape from its initial form of a flat piece. The shape of the cap is determined by the mold.
- The present invention has the following technical scheme: A baseball cap with knitted and air permeable seamless crown formed as a one whole piece, comprising the crown and a peak; the crown has a dome shape; the crown is knitted by blended use of polyester yarn and shaping filaments; the crown is seamless; a circular sweatband is provided near a lower edge of an inner wall of an interior side of the crown.
- The baseball cap disclosed by the present invention has a crown formed as a one whole piece. Compared with a conventional cap formed by sewing six sections, the present invention significantly reduces the steps of making the cap, thereby reducing production cost and reducing scrap rate during manufacturing. The market position of the present invention is higher, and most importantly, the present invention is more comfortable to wear.
-
FIG. 1 illustrates a structure of the present invention. -
Reference number 1 is a crown;reference number 2 is a peak. - The present invention is further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
- A baseball cap with knitted and air permeable seamless crown formed as a one whole piece, characterized in comprising the
crown 1 and apeak 2; thecrown 1 has a dome shape; thecrown 1 is knitted by blended use of polyester yarn and shaping filaments; thecrown 1 is seamless; a circular sweatband is provided near a lower edge of an inner wall of an interior side of the crown. - In practice, the interior side of the crown is made of polyester fibers.
- In practice, a knitted piece of the
crown 1 is initially flat and then being molded through a mold to obtain a 3D shape; the shaping filaments are blended in during knitting process to facilitate subsequent adjustment, ironing and shape formation. By using rows of flat knitting machine needles, the cap can be formed with potential multiple variations. - In practice, the peak is made of surface fabrics stuffed with filing materials to form a core of the peak; the peak has a major function of sun shading.
- In practice, the sweatband is mainly made of polyurethane fibers and serves the purpose of fixing a size of the cap and the overall product effect.
- The above description is a detailed illustration of the present invention with reference to a preferred embodiment, and the present invention should not be considered limited to the above description. To a person skilled in this field of art, some simple modifications or replacements can be made without deviating from the inventive concept of the present invention, and they should be considered within the scope of protection of the present invention.
