  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The following includes information that may be useful in understanding the present invention(s). It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art, or material, to the presently described or claimed inventions, or that any publication or document that is specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates generally to the field of combination nail care systems and more specifically relates to a nail polish and polish remover apparatus comprising nail polish on one side, and polish remover on the other structured and arranged to flip a bottle over to access either the polish or the remover thereby providing a user with a dual-action product that allows them to touch up nails and repair painting mistakes, from one conveniently portable unit.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • Today, more than ever, the manicure is an increasingly popular service sought by people from all walks of life. No longer intended to distinguish social classes, manicures are enjoyed by everyone, from the busy homemaker to the wealthy sophisticate to the professional businessman. While some salons have always had a small area specifically devoted to the manicure, hair salons have recently added more, larger manicure stations to their facilities. Spurred by the growing popularity of this service, manicure stations are even being added to male-dominated barbershops throughout the nation. Once reserved only for large cities and metropolitan areas, manicure salons are also springing up in small towns and neighborhoods all over the country. Manicure services can range from a basic trim and polish, to very elaborate and detailed nail art. A basic manicure involves soaking a client's hand in a bowl of warm, soapy water, followed by cuticle removal, after which the nails are trimmed, filed, buffed and polished. Many women prefer elaborate manicures as opposed to the basic treatment appropriate for natural nails. For them, a manicure can include the application of acrylic nails or tips, followed by airbrushed designs and even nail jewelry. Others prefer nails sculpted of acrylic powder or fiberglass wraps, followed by a colorful array of polish.
  • While painted nails have and always will be popular, women, especially, are constantly searching for new and more convenient means of styling nails, particularly in today's hectic and fast-paced society.
  • Various attempts have been made to solve problems found in combination nail care systems art. Among these are found in: U.S. Pat. No. 5,897,262 to Mary Bratby-Carey; U.S. Pat. No. 3,341,884 to Barbara Pryor; U.S. Pat. No. 8,545,120 to Diane C. Breidenbach et al. This prior art is representative of multiple nail care products housed in a single container.
  • Ideally, a nail polish and polish remover apparatus should be user-friendly and safe in-use and yet would operate reliably and be manufactured at a modest expense. Thus, a need exists for a nail polish and polish remover apparatus comprising nail polish on one side, and polish remover on the other structured and arranged to flip a bottle over to access either the polish or the remover thereby providing a user with a dual-action product that allows them to touch up nails and repair painting mistakes, from one conveniently portable unit and to avoid the above-mentioned problems.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known combination nail care systems art, the present invention provides a novel Nail Polish and Polish Remover Apparatus. The general purpose of the present invention, which will be described subsequently in greater detail is to provide a nail polish and polish remover apparatus comprising nail polish on one side, and polish remover on the other structured and arranged to flip a bottle over to access either the polish or the remover thereby providing a user with a dual-action product that allows them to touch up nails and repair painting mistakes, from one conveniently portable unit.
  • A nail polish and polish remover apparatus comprising: a first container; a first container lid; nail polish; a second container; a second container lid; and nail polish remover. The first container including: at least one side wall; a bottom wall; and a rim. Wherein the at least one side wall and the bottom wall form a hollow interior volume and an opening at a top portion thereof. Wherein the rim surrounds the opening and includes an exterior rim portion.
  • The first container lid including: a cap and an elongated brush. Wherein the cap includes an interior rim portion adapted to releasably connect with the exterior rim portion of the first container. Wherein the elongated brush is attached to the cap at a proximal end thereof. Wherein the first container lid is adapted to removably connect with the first container to removably cover the opening and removably enclose the first container.
  • Wherein the nail polish is adapted to be removably located within the hollow interior volume of the first container, such that the elongated brush of the first container lid can contact and remove portions of the nail polish for use thereof.
  • The second container including: at least one side wall; a bottom wall; and a rim. Wherein the at least one side wall and the bottom wall form a hollow interior volume and an opening at a top portion thereof. Wherein the rim surrounds the opening and includes an exterior rim portion.
  • The second container lid includes: a cap and an elongated brush. Wherein the cap includes an interior rim portion adapted to releasably connect with the exterior rim portion of the second container. Wherein the elongated brush is attached to the cap at a proximal end thereof. Wherein the second container lid is adapted to removably connect with the second container to removably cover the opening and removably enclose the second container.
  • Wherein the nail polish remover is adapted to be removably located within the hollow interior volume of the second container, such that the elongated brush of the second container lid can contact and remove portions of the nail polish remover for use thereof. Wherein the bottom wall of the first container is connected to the bottom wall of the second container thereby forming the nail polish and polish remover apparatus.
  • The present invention holds significant improvements and serves as a Nail Polish and Polish Remover Apparatus. For purposes of summarizing the invention, certain aspects, advantages, and novel features of the invention have been described herein. It is to be understood that not necessarily all such advantages may be achieved in accordance with any one particular embodiment of the invention. Thus, the invention may be embodied or carried out in a manner that achieves or optimizes one advantage or group of advantages as taught herein without necessarily achieving other advantages as may be taught or suggested herein. The features of the invention which are believed to be novel are particularly pointed out and distinctly claimed in the concluding portion of the specification. These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following drawings and detailed description.

  • FIG. 1 shows a front perspective view illustrating a nail polish and polish remover apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view illustrating the nail polish and polish remover apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention of FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 3 is a perspective view illustrating a first container and a second container of the nail polish and polish remover apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention of FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 4 is a perspective view illustrating the first container having a cap and the second container having a cap of the nail polish and polish remover apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention of FIG. 1.
  • The various embodiments of the present invention will hereinafter be described in conjunction with the appended drawings, wherein like designations denote like elements.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • As discussed above, embodiments of the present invention relate to a combination nail care system and more particularly to a Nail Polish and Polish Remover Apparatus comprising nail polish on one side, and polish remover on the other structured and arranged to flip a bottle over to access either the polish or the remover thereby providing a user with a dual-action product that allows them to touch up nails and repair painting mistakes, from one conveniently portable unit.
  • Generally speaking, the Nail Polish and Polish Remover Apparatus comprising a novel product offering consumers a practical solution to the aforementioned challenges. As the name implies, the Nail Polish and Polish Remover Apparatus comprises a specially designed container comprising nail polish on one side, and polish remover on the other. In this manner, consumers would be able to customize as well as repair their nails while in the comforts of home or while on the go. Packaged in a compact, tube-shaped unit, the Nail Polish and Polish Remover Apparatus would be presented in a durable yet lightweight glass bottle configuration. The two sides would be divided by an interior glass wall, which would separate the polish and remover liquids contained within.
  • As mentioned above, one side of the bottle contains nail polish; offered in a vast array of hues, the polish side would consist of a screw-on lid with attached brush, the latter of which would rest within the polish liquid in the same manner as conventional nail polish packaging. Flipping the bottle upside down, one would find a second screw-on lid with attached brush, which would rest within a pool of liquid polish remover. The bottle is made up of two-cylinder bottles that are glued together at the bottoms. Each bottle has a removal cap on each end. The cap that has the lacquered black hair brush will be on top of the bottle that houses the nail polish. The cap that has the lip brush will house the nail polish remover. The present invention full of polish is approximately 27 ounces and can store up to 8.0 mL. When empty the bottle can store 32.50 grams, 1.15 ounces, and the bottle is approximately 53.5 mm in height.
  • Thus, two essential nail care products are readily available within one unit. When used, the convenience of the Nail Polish and Polish Remover Apparatus is readily apparent in a variety of scenarios. For instance, a business professional wishes to freshen her nails before meeting friends after work. She need only retrieve the Nail Polish and Polish Remover Apparatus, and quickly swipe the nail polish over the nails. But, in her rush, she accidentally brushes polish onto her skin or compromises nails already beautifully painted. Instead of worrying about retrieving a bottle of polish remover, along with a selection of cotton balls, she would simply flip over the Nail Polish and Polish Remover Apparatus, remove the brush, and swiftly remove the polish mistakes, creating perfectly painted nails.
  • The Nail Polish and Polish Remover Apparatus would ensure a smooth, neat, and even manicure with every application. Manufactured in an array of striking colors, there would be a Nail Polish and Polish Remover Apparatus configuration to suit the needs of virtually any female consumer. Teens and young girls should particularly delight in using the Nail Polish and Polish Remover Apparatus, allowing them a novel approach to expressing their personal creativity. Moreover, this product's design and function would prove beneficial to older users, whose hands may not be as steady as they once were. Professional manicurists would also embrace the Nail Polish and Polish Remover Apparatus, as it would enable them to adorn their client's nails in a quick and easy manner Indeed, the multifunctional Nail Polish and Polish Remover Apparatus should be well received by manicurists, salon and spa owners, and particularly female consumers of all ages, an extremely sizable market potential.
