Abstract

A drip dish includes a dish body and a drip plate. The dish body has an upper concave surface. The drip plate has a plurality of drip holes. The dish body is formed with a trough and a stepped annular surface around an upper side wall of the trough. The drip plate is detachably connected to the stepped annular surface of the trough. When food is placed on the concave surface of the dish body and the drip plate, redundant grease and water of the food drip to the trough through the drip holes of the drip plate.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • (a) Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a drip dish, and more particularly to a dish capable of dripping redundant food grease.
  • (b) Description of the Prior Art
  • In general, food has redundant grease and water after cooking. If the food is directly placed in a bowl or a dish, the food will be dipped in the food grease and water. This may influence the deliciousness of the food. For example, if the fried food is directly placed on an utensil, the lower portion of the food will be dipped in the redundant food grease, so that the surface of the fried food becomes soft and the taste and the appearance of the food become bad. There are two ways to solve this problem: one is to use a filter for dripping the redundant food grease, the other is to place oil absorbent paper on the utensil. The former takes a lot of time to drip the food grease. The latter can not be used for the food with water. Besides, if the grease is too much, the oil absorbent paper will be unable to absorb all the grease.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary object of the present invention is to provide a drip dish that solves the aforementioned problem.
  • The drip dish includes a dish body and a drip plate to drip redundant food grease and water. In addition, the dish body and the drip plate may be assembled and disassembled with ease.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

  • FIG. 5 is another cross-sectional view of the drip dish showing the first embodiment of the present invention when in use;
  • FIG. 6 is a perspective view of the drip dish according to a second embodiment of the present invention;
  • FIG. 7 is a top view of the drip dish according to a third embodiment of the present invention;
  • FIG. 8 is a top view of the drip dish according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention;
  • FIG. 9 is a perspective view of the drip dish according to a fifth embodiment of the present invention;
  • FIG. 10 is a cross-sectional view of the drip dish according to the fifth embodiment of the present invention; and
  • FIG. 11 is a top view of the drip dish according to a sixth embodiment of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Embodiments of the present invention will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings.
  • As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 3, the drip dish according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a dish body 1 and a drip plate 2. The dish body 1 can be made of ceramics, metal, or a plastic material. The dish body 1 has an upper concave surface 11 for placing food thereon. The drip plate 2 can be made of ceramics, metal, or a plastic material. The drip plate 2 has a plurality of drip holes 21. The dish body 1 has a trough 12 at the center of the concave surface 11 and a stepped annular surface 13 around an upper side wall 121 of the trough 12. The stepped annular surface 13, the concave surface 11 and the trough 12 have height differences for placing the drip plate 2 on the stepped annular surface 13. The drip plate 2 is detachably connected to the stepped annular surface 13 of the trough 12. Thus, the drip dish is assembled. Referring to FIG. 4, food 30 is placed on the concave surface 11 of the dish body 1 and the drip plate 2, so that the redundant food grease and water can drip down to the trough 12 through the drip holes 21 of the drip plate 2, preventing the redundant grease and water from influencing the food 30.
  • Referring to FIG. 2, FIG. 6 and FIG. 7, the dish body 1 has an edge 14 in a circular, oval, or polygonal shape. The trough 12 and the stepped annular surface 13 of the dish body 1 have a circular, oval, or polygonal shape. The drip plate 2 has a shape identical to the shape of the trough 12 and the stepped annular surface 13, such that the drip plate 2 can be easily assembled to the stepped annular surface 13 of the trough 12.
  • As shown in FIG. 6, FIG. 7 and FIG. 8, the drip plate 2 has the plurality of drip holes 21 in a matrix permutation, a radial permutation or other permutations. As shown in FIG. 9 and FIG. 11, an upper surface of the drip plate 2 has a plurality of ribs 22 in a radial arrangement and a recess 23 between every two of the ribs 22. The recess 23 is formed with the drip holes 21. The drip holes 21 can be in an elongated, circular, oval, or polygonal shape. Thus, the food grease and water can drip down to the trough 12 of the dish body 1 through the drip holes 21. As shown in FIG. 1, FIG. 9 and FIG. 10, the upper surface of the drip plate 2 can be a flat surface or a convex surface to enhance the drip function.
  • As shown in FIG. 4, when the present invention is in use, the food 30 can be placed on the dish body 1 and the drip plate 2, without using a filter to drip the food grease and water. This can save the time to drip the food grease by using the filter. When the food is placed on the dish body 1 and the drip plate 2, the redundant grease and water of the food 30 can drip down to the trough 12 through the drip holes 21 of the drip plate 2, preventing the food from dipping in the food grease and water. When cleaning the dish body 1 and the drip plate 2, the drip plate 2 can be detached from the dish body 1. They can be assembled again for next use. The present invention is convenient to drip the food grease and water, and the drip plate and the dish body can be assembled and disassembled with ease.
  • Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 5, when the drip dish of the present invention is in use, oil absorbent paper 40 is first placed in the trough 12 of the dish body 1, and then the drip plate 2 is coupled to the stepped annular surface 13 of the trough 12. In this way, the redundant grease and water of the food 30 drips in the trough 12 to be absorbed by the oil absorbent paper 40, preventing the oil absorbent paper 40 from adhering to the food 30.
  • Although particular embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. Accordingly, the present invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
