Description

  • The present description refers to a Certificate of Addition of Invention for PI 0600990-5, under the title “SEALING SYSTEM FOR PACKAGE”.
  • FIELD OF APPLICATION
  • The present “SEALING SYSTEM FOR PACKAGE” has the purpose to eliminate leakage by means of one or more membrane-form rings, guaranteeing better accommodation of the sphere over its surface, compensating any deformation and guaranteeing desirable sealing performance.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE ART
  • As known, innovation is one of the highest-value competitiveness factors in various market segments, and the package field is not different.
  • Companies consuming the so-called rigid plastic packages, such as plastic flasks, plastic caps and their components, in various segments, such as: cosmetics, food products, cleaning products, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, etc., continuously look to develop new packages to benefit consumers in any possible way.
  • As disclosed by the Patent of Invention PI 0600990-5, since roll-on packages were introduced in the market, they have presented a big problem, which is exactly product leakage, sometimes excessively.
  • Various companies manufacture this kind of package by means of alternative processes, always with the object to solve this serious problem, be it by extrusion, blowing, injection, stretching or their combination.
  • This problem is widely known in the market and is caused by imprecise meeting of the sphere with their elongation caused by almost negligible but existing deformations on the external surface of the sphere, caused by its manufacturing process, thus causing undesirable product leakage, with various kinds of prejudice to the project.
  • Therefore, various alternative solutions have been developed to solve said specific problems, always progressing towards guaranteeing a precise sealing line (between flask lodging and the sphere with cap, exerting pressure between them by their screwing to the flask), but this goal is not reached since the sphere always has intrinsic deformation.
  • The “SEALING SYSTEM FOR PACKAGE”, object of the Patent of Invention PI 0600990-5, has been developed after much research and as a result of various repeated studies, aiming to practically and economically solve these inconveniences so to provide for a technically correct and functional solution which, generally and in summary, essentially consists in an alternative inserted in the package manufacturing process where the product is packed and lodges said sphere by applying the product when turning in contact with the place where said product should be placed (e.g. deodorants, sun filters, lip shining, etc.). Said package may be obtained by blowing processes (monoblock flask), injection blow (monoblock flask), blow+injection (blown flask plus injected sphere lodging), blow+compression (blown flask plus sphere lodging by compression) and injection (monoblock flask), wherein the inclusion is a circular-shaped membrane, positioned exactly against the sphere, which, for its flexibility, is lodged on the spherical surface, thus compensating their deformations and guaranteeing system sealing, thus undoubtedly obtaining the efficiency as desired, in a practical way and under low cost of industrial embodiment, by means of resources related to the manufacturing process itself.
  • In the “SEALING SYSTEM FOR PACKAGE” object of the Patent of Invention PI 0600990-5, one of the main objects of the development of the present invention has been disclosed as to obtain a roll-on type package with the purpose to apply various types of liquid, viscous or pasty products, aiming to spread the product over a given surface, but avoiding, as already mentioned, undesirable leakage by means of contacting the circular shaped membrane jointly to the sphere.
  • Another object of the Patent of Invention PI 0600990-5 is the profile of said membrane and its measurements may be defined in various ways, depending on the diameter, applied material and finishing of spheres.
  • An additional object of the Patent of Invention PI 0600990-5 is to provide the production of packages in various shapes besides traditional cylindrical packages, and their shape does not affect sealing performance, since non-cylindrical flasks usually make the sealing region become oval, thus generating leakage, but that membrane guarantees good sealing, since it molds the sphere even with light deformation characterized by different flask shapes.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present Certification of Addition of “SEALING SYSTEM FOR PACKAGE” uses the same principle as disclosed by the Patent of Invention PI 0600990-5, but has the main purpose to provide for perfect sealing between the sphere and the package holding the product and its applying sphere, since we verified after various tests, both for internal pressure and temperature, as well as others, that, even with circular membrane exactly jointly to the sphere, depending on its deformations and even on the viscosity is of the packed product, it was not enough to guarantee full system sealing with the desired efficiency.
  • Therefore, we detected that, according to the case, only one circular membrane would not be enough, and may even cause leakage, for which reason new studies have been made and come to the conclusion that one or more circular membranes should be used, located in parallel one over the other when required and, if the sphere is not duly settled over a membrane, it should be well or partially lodged over second one or more membranes, so that the set of said membranes provide sealing as desired.
  • The present Certificate of Addition of Invention to PI 0600990-5, “SEALING SYSTEM FOR PACKAGE”, is therefore constituted, so to reach the objects as mentioned above and offer large reliability, therefore aiming to obtain a package with truly innovative functional features and great performance, providing large enhancements, promoting, personalizing and highlighting itself over the state of the art and providing to obtain different and good-looking plastic configurations.
  • It therefore refers to a Certificate of Addition to PI 0600990-5, under the title “SEALING SYSTEM FOR PACKAGE”, perfectly and efficiently developed, with the object to offer high reliability, for its safe and efficient form, and truly innovative functional characteristics.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
  • However, to better understand and explain the detailed description that follows, illustrative figures are attached, to which we make reference, so that:
  • FIG. 1: Cut view of the higher part, detailing the sphere as coupled to the roll-on package provided with sealing membrane(s) made of the same material as used for package manufacturing;
  • FIG. 2: Cut view of the higher part of the pack, detailing the profile of the roll-on package as obtained with the sealing membrane, highlighting the sphere;
  • FIG. 3: Cut view of the higher part, detailing the higher part of the package, giving as an example the profile obtained by a roll-on package which external part is made of a more rigid material and the internal part, including membrane(s), of a more flexible material with low density, thus providing better sphere accommodation.
  • BASICS OF THE INVENTION
  • According to the illustrations and details, the Certificate of Addition to PI 0600990-5, under the title “SEALING SYSTEM FOR PACKAGE” as proposed herewithin, constitutes a package made of plastic material, being of the roll-on type (1), i. e. it is provided with a higher section (2), which would be the neck of the flask with semi-spherical shape (3) to couple the sphere (4) to its internal part and a lower section (5) is provided with a body which shape is at the manufacturer's discretion, since in the internal part, between said two sections (2 and 5), one or more circular membranes (6) are formed, located in parallel one over the other, when required, made during the package manufacturing process itself, exactly jointly to the sphere (4) which, for its flexibility, lodges it compensating its deformations and guaranteeing to seal the system, and the circular membrane(s) (6) is(are) made of a different material from the package, preferably a more flexible material, aiming to improve the chance of deformation compensation for the sphere (4), which is usually made of a rigid material, better lodging and involving it, so to guarantee better sealing and obtain a safer package, so to enable the diversification with new designs to conform the body, i. e. lower section (5), not influencing the good sealing performance of the circular membrane(s) (6) next to the sphere (4).
  • The present description dealt with the Certificate of Addition to PI 0600990-5, under the title “SEALING SYSTEM FOR PACKAGE”, which is not limited to the practical aspects of the currently preferred embodiment as shown and disclosed and that each and every modification and variation should be considered as being covered by the spirit and scope of the invention, since the important was, by means of new tests and studies, to obtain a very high quality and safe roll-on package, fulfilling all originality and novelty requirements in the field, thus meeting the required conditions to deserve the Privilege.
