Description
- (1) Field of the Invention
- The invention relates to an exercise product, and more particularly to a striking apparatus used for boxing and kicking.
- (2) Description of the Prior Art
- Taiwan Patent No. M293059 discloses a striking apparatus, which is available in the market and includes a base. A primary rod is disposed at a center of the base. A top end of the primary rod is connected to an elastomer, and a secondary rod is further connected to the elastomer. A top end of the secondary rod is connected to a primary striking body. The primary rod is extended to form a branch. The surface of a connection portion of an end portion of the branch is formed with an engaging tooth. The engaging tooth may engage with an engaging tooth formed on a surface of a fitting portion of a secondary striking body, and a screwing element, which may be rotated to get tight or loose, penetrates through the secondary striking body to fix the secondary striking body. The screwing element can adjust an angle between the secondary striking body and the connection portion.
- Using the secondary striking body can adjust the swinging angle of the structure so that the striking range can be enlarged and different striking positions can be obtained. Thus, the exercise can proceed without the boring feeling. In addition, the base is formed with a through hole, into which fillers may be placed. When a lot of fillers are filled into the base, the base can be positioned more firmly. If the striking apparatus has to be moved, the fillers may be extracted out to reduce the weight so that the striking apparatus may be moved more easily. However, no buffer restoring structure, such as the elastomer, is disposed between the secondary striking body and the branch, and the secondary striking body is usually made of a metal material or a plastic material by way of filling molding. If the user strikes the secondary striking body too heavy, the secondary striking body tends to bend and deform or even break.
- In view of this, the invention provides a novel striking apparatus to solve the conventional problems.
- A main object of the invention is to provide a striking apparatus, which has an intensified structure and can immediately restore to its original state.
- To achieve the above-identified object, the invention is composed of a blow-molded plastic rod body and a striking portion. A base is formed with a chamber to be filled with fillers. The rod body is integrally and transversally extended to form a connection rod. An external thread is formed on a surface of the connection rod. Thus, the rod body is a hollow plastic structure, which is integrally formed.
- Next, the external thread is connected to one end of a helical spring. The other end of the helical spring may be connected to the striking portion. The striking portion includes a link and a striking block. The striking block is also formed by way of plastic blow molding. An extended end portion of the striking block is formed with a two-side toothed portion. One end of the link serves as a connection portion for connecting the striking portion to the helical spring. A surface of the other end of the link is formed with an engaging tooth to be engaged with the two-side toothed portion. The engaging tooth may be engaged with any toothed surface of the two-side toothed portion. An adjusting bolt is inserted between the engaging tooth and the two-side toothed portion. The vertical up and down swinging angles of the striking block may be adjusted and fixed according to the personal requirements by rotating the adjusting bolt to get tight or loose.
- The structure of the invention has the following effects.
- First, the rod body and the connection rod of the invention are integrally formed by way of plastic blow molding. Thus, the structure intensity of the product is increased, and the costs of manufacturing and assembling the elements can be decreased.
- Second, the invention utilizes the property of the restoring resilience of the helical spring so that the striking portion is forced to swing backwards greatly, and the helical spring immediately pulls the striking portion back. Thus, as long as the force does not exceed the allowable range of the helical spring, the striking portion may restore to its original state. Therefore, the striking portion is free from being bent or even broken, and the striking portion may also be integrally formed by way of plastic blow molding. Thus, the hollow structure can generate the larger sound and the entertainment of use may be enhanced.
- Further aspects, objects, and desirable features of the invention will be better understood from the detailed description and drawings that follow in which various embodiments of the disclosed invention are illustrated by way of examples.
