Abstract
A secure device, which provides an elastic metal bar made main body, includes a press part, two force exerting parts and two holding parts. The press part is disposed at the middle of the main body for pressing a heat sink. Each of the force exerting parts is aslope extending from an end of the press part respectively with a large flat portion for force exertion. Each of the holding part extends from the force exerting part respectively with a hook end to correspond to and engage with a component on a heat source. Hence, the heat sink is capable of contacting the heat source tightly and the press part is capable of being operated conveniently.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention is related to a secure device and particularly to a secure device capable of mounting a heat sink to a heat source conveniently.
- 2. Brief Description of the Related Art
- Due to progress of technology, operations provided by the electronic components get higher efficiencies such that the subject related to how to treat problem of overheat becomes a requirement needed to be reached for the electronic components.
- The conventional secure device is employed to attach the heat sink to the heat source tightly without loosening easily such that effect of heat dissipation can be enhanced significantly. Hence, it is very important that a good secure device is capable of locating the heat sink properly in order to lessen thermal resistance between the heat sink and heat generating component and to allow the heat sink offering much better heat absorption capability.
- Taiwan Utility Model Published No. 5640008 discloses an engaging device for a heat sink. The engaging device is a bent metal bar with a press part and two branch parts. The press part is used for pressing the heat sink and the two branch parts extend from the press part with a hook being provided at the end of the respective part for engaging with related components.
- The terminate end of the respective branch is a sharp bend without a spot for being pressed with fingers and it results in the fingers become pricking and uncomfortable.
- Accordingly, in order to overcome the preceding disadvantages, an object of the present invention is to provide a secure device for a heat sink for being operated conveniently without discomfort to the fingers of a user.
- In order to achieve the preceding object, a secure device according to the present invention provides an elastic metal bar made main body and the main body includes a press part, two force exerting parts and two holding parts.
- The detail structure, the applied principle, the function and the effectiveness of the present invention can be more fully understood with reference to the following description and accompanying drawings, in which:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a secure device according to the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view illustrating the secure device of the invention shown inFIG. 1 being ready for engaging with a heat sink; and -
FIG. 3 is a perspective view illustrating the secure device of the invention shown inFIG. 1 engaging with the heat sink shown inFIG. 2 . - Referring to
FIGS. 1 to 3 , a secure device according to the present invention provides a bent elastic metal bar, which is amain body 1 and includes apress part 11, aforce exerting part 12 and aholding part 13. The middle section of themain body 1 is thepress part 11 and thepress part 11 is formed with a shape of meanderings, waves or steps or other shapes which is capable of being located at the center of aheat sink 2 effectively for pressing theheat sink 2 tightly. - The
force exerting part 12 is extended aslope from both ends of thepress part 11 respectively and is bent to provide a large flat area for fingers exerting a force to it. In practice, it can be implemented with the force exerting thepart 12 at one of the ends of thepress part 11. Therespective holding part 13 is extended from theexerting part 12 and has a hook end 14 to engage with the corresponding component of heat source (not shown). - Once the
press part 11 is pressed to the heat sink, one of theholding parts 13 can hook the corresponding component of the heat source. Then, anotherholding part 13 can hook the corresponding component too while the flat area of theforce exerting part 12 is pressed by the fingers. In this way, the heat sink is capable of contacting the heat source firmly. - It is appreciated that the secure device according to the present invention provides the
force exerting part 12 with a large pressing area for the fingers such that convenient and comfortable operation for the secure device can be obtained and the deficiency of the prior art can be overcome effectively. - While the invention has been described with referencing to preferred embodiments thereof, it is to be understood that modifications or variations may be easily made without departing from the spirit of this invention, which is defined by the appended claims.
