Abstract
The present invention relates to a zipper head, and more particularly, to a zipper head with a pull tag that can be set and fixed to a predetermined angle. The zipper head of the present invention comprises a top plank and on the top plank there is a proboscis enclosing the pull tag, the characteristics are: the pull tag has an engaging hole; the top plank extending and forming a block corresponding to the engaging hole; when the pull tag is put down, the pull tag is engaged with the blocker by means of the engaging hole.
Description
- The present invention relates to a zipper head structure wherein the pull tag of the zipper head can be set and fixed to a predetermined angle.
- Please refer to
FIG. 1 , which shows a perspective view of the prior art. Theconventional zipper head 10 has atop plank 11 and ahook 12 disposed on thetop plank 11. Apull tag 13 encloses thehook 12 to pull thezipper head 10 forwards and backwards. Thepull tag 13 encloses thehook 12 by means of ahole 131 of thepull tag 13. - Referring to
FIG. 1 , after using thepull tag 13 of thezipper head 10, normally it hangs on the upper surface of thetop plank 11. Because thehole 131 is usually bigger than the external diameter of thehook 12, thepull tag 13 inclines downwardly with its tail pressing on the zipper. Therefore, to grip thepull tag 13 to move thezipper head 10, it must be raised away from the zipper, pinched, and then pulled to slide thezipper head 10 along the zipper track. Therefore, theconventional zipper head 10 is not convenient when opening or closing the zipper. - In order to improve the inconvenience of using the zipper head when its pull tag hangs and at the same time to enable users to pinch the pull tag quickly when using the zipper. The invention provides a zipper head structure which can be pinched easily. By fixing the pull tag to a predetermined angle, the user can quickly get/pinch pull tag; and by the angle of the pull tag close to or higher than horizontal, the user can pinch it easily and thereby improve the inconvenience which users have to pick the pull tag slightly off the zipper first before pulling the zipper head to move it.
- In order to achieve above objectives, the invention provides a zipper head structure, comprising a top plank, on the top plank having a proboscis enclosing a pull tag. The characteristics are: the pull tag has an engaging hole; the top plank extends and forms a blocker corresponding to the engaging hole; the pull tag engages with said blocker by means of the engaging hole and thereby engages the pull tag at an angle close to horizontal or at an upward angle. Wherein, the blocker can be a wedge shape which gradually becomes wider from top to bottom, or the blocker can have a first inclined surface which inclines to the rear side of the zipper head or the combination of both. However, the structures are not limited to the above mentioned, and other similar structures that have engagement effects are also applicable.
- By using the zipper head structure of the present invention, after pinching the pull tag to pull it forwards and backwards, users can put release the pull tag to engage with the blocker at an angle close to the horizontal or towards the vertical. Therefore, to pull the zipper head, the pull tag can be easily and quickly grasped, hence there is no need to waste time pinching the pull tag and the usage becomes more convenient.
- The preferred embodiments of the present invention are illustrated hereinafter with the attached drawings. The below embodiments are merely illustrative. Further modification of the invention hereinafter disclosed will occur to those skilled in the respective arts and all such modifications are deemed to be within the scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
- Please refer to
FIG. 2 , which shows a preferred embodiment of the present invention. Thezipper head 20 of the present invention comprises atop plank 21 and aproboscis 22 disposed on thetop plank 21. Theproboscis 22 encloses apull tag 23 which is used to pull thezipper head 20 forwards and backwards and thepull tag 23 encloses theproboscis 22 by means of theengaging hole 231 of thepull tag 23. - The characteristics of the present invention are: the
top plank 21 extends and forms ablocker 24 corresponding to theengaging hole 231. When thepull tag 23 is released, it engages with theblocker 24 by means of theengaging hole 231, and therefore thepull tag 23 will not hang on thetop plank 21 but will be engaged at a horizontal or upward angle. Thereby, it is easier and labor-saving to grasp/pinch pull tag 23 in order to slide thezipper head 20 along the zipper track. There is no need to waste time finding thepull tag 23. The operation becomes more convenient than before. - Please refer to
FIG. 3 , which shows a back view of the first embodiment of the present invention. Theblocker 24 is provided to engage thepull tag 23. The structure of theblocker 24 has no special limits, and only needs to correspond to theengaging hole 231. In the first embodiment, the back view of thezipper head 20 shows theblocker 24 is a wedge-shape which gradually widens from the top to the bottom. To enclose theblocker 24, the internal diameter of theengaging hole 231 can be larger than the width of the top end of the wedge-shaped blocker but smaller than the width of the bottom, so when thepull tag 23 is released, it can engage with theblocker 24 at an upward angle (Please refer toFIG. 5 ). Therefore, the shape and the size of theengaging hole 231 has no special limits, they are adjustable according to the shape and the size of theblocker 24. The engagement angle of thepull tag 23 can be adjusted by the relative position of theengaging hole 231 and theblocker 24, thepull tag 23 can be set close to the horizontal or inclined upwards and suspended. - Please refer to
FIG. 4 , which shows a lateral view of first embodiment of the present invention. Theblocker 24 is a wedge shape whose bottom gradually becomes smaller toward its top and the direction of the wedge could be from left to right or from front to back. In the embodiment, theblocker 24 has a firstinclined surface 241 inclines upwards toward the rear end of thepull tag 20. When thepull tag 23 is put down, it first encloses the top end of theblocker 24, and when thepull tag 23 is further laid down, it engages on the firstinclined surface 241 because of the slope of theinclined surface 241 and thereby thepull tag 23 is set in a predetermined angle (please refer toFIG. 5 ). Please refer toFIG. 6 , following the same principle, a secondinclined surface 242 of the blocker inclines upwards towards the front end of theblocker 24. Thepull tag 23 has anengaging hole 232 corresponding to the second inclined surface, therefore, when the pull tag is released, thepull tag 23 can enclose theblocker 24 and further engage on the secondinclined surface 242 by one side of the engaging hole 232(Please refer toFIG. 7 ). - Besides engaging the
pull tag 23 and tilting it on theblocker 24, other applicable engagement structures are shown inFIG. 8 andFIG. 9 , but not limit to them. From the back view of thepull tag 20, theblocker 24 has tworound protruding bars 243 separately extend from left and right side to engage with theengaging hole 231. In addition the top of theblocker 24 can further has a rearround protruding bar 244 facing the rear end of thepull tag 20 or a front round protruding bar (not illustrated) facing the front end of thepull tag 20 to engage with theengaging hole 231. - The
blocker 24 can also be disposed on any zipper head structure. The zipper head structure doesn't have special limits. Theblocker 24 can be disposed on any zipper head structure whose pull tag need to be fixed and set in a certain degree. Therefore, it can also be disposed on thegastight zipper head 30, which is shown in the embodiment ofFIG. 10 , or other zipper heads usually used with bags or clothing. However, above description is merely illustrative, it is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. - Please refer to
FIG. 10 , agastight zipper head 30 includes atop plank 31, aproboscis 32 disposed on thetop plank 31 and theproboscis 32 enclosing apull tag 33 which is used to slide thegastight zipper head 30 forwards and backwards. Thepull tag 33 has anengaging hole 331 to enclose theproboscis 32. Thetop plank 31 extends and forms ablocker 34 corresponding to theengaging hole 331. When thepull tag 33 is put down, thepull tag 33 is engaged with theblocker 34 by means of theengaging hole 331. Therefore, thepull tag 33 will not be hanging from thetop plank 31, but be tilting upwards or close to the horizontal. Due to the fact that agastight zipper head 30 is mostly used with plastic teeth, after thepull tag 33 is set horizontal or tilting upwards, thepull tag 33 will not press on the plastic teeth, thereby the design can prevent deformation of plastic teeth caused by the pressure of thepull tag 33. - On the other hand, in order to engage the
pull tag 33 on theblocker 34 directly, a round shaft can be disposed in the location where thepull tag 33 and theproboscis 32 engage with each other. By means of the round shaft, thepull tag 33 can only rotate from front to back, and the pivoting path become fixed. When thepull tag 33 is putting down toward to theblocker 34, thepull tag 33 is able to enclose theblocker 34 accurately for engagement effect. Besides this embodiment, the round shaft can also apply to other above mentioned embodiments. -
