  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • FIGS. 3˜5 show a preferred embodiment of a high-efficiency dust collecting device with two gateways for a sand grinder 3 in the present invention. The sand grinder 3 is composed of a main body 30, a front sanding belt roller 40 and a rear sanding belt roller 50 located transversely on the top of the main body 30, a conveying table 60 located under the two sanding belt rollers 40 and 50, and a cover 70. So, a workpiece is to be put on the conveying table 60 and ground below and by the front sanding belt roller 40 and the second sanding belt roller 50 in order. The cover 70 is transversely cut with two exits 71 and 72 on its top, connected with a dust collecting device 80 installed under it at one side of each of the front sanding belt roller 40 and the second sanding belt roller 50. The dust-collecting device 80 is connected with the exits 71 and 72, provided with a first gateway set 81 and a second gateway set 82.
  • The first gateway set 81 is formed integrally with a metallic panel and installed at one side of the front sanding belt roller 40 corresponding to the grinding direction of the conveying table 60. The first gateway set 81 is composed of a first arc-like blocking panel 811, a first blocking plate 812 and two first dust-guiding plates 813. The first arc-like blocking panel 811 formed with a certain curvature is fixed at a certain location around the circumference of the front sanding belt roller 40, having its bottom edge located near the grinding point of the front sanding belt roller 40. The first blocking plate 812 is obliquely fixed to correspondingly face to the first arc-like blocking panel 811, spaced apart in a certain distance. And, the first dust-guiding plates 813 are obliquely fixed at two sides of the first arc-like blocking panel 811 and the first blocking plate 812, so that the space between the first arc-like blocking panel 811 and the first blocking plate 812 makes up a first gateway 814.
  • The second gateway set 82 is also formed integrally with a metallic panel and installed at one side of the second sanding belt roller 50 corresponding to the grinding direction of the conveying table 60. The second gateway set 82 is composed of a second arc-like blocking panel 821, a second blocking plate 822 and two second dust-guiding plates 823. The second arc-like blocking panel 821 formed in a certain curvature is fixed at a certain location around the circumference of the second sanding belt roller 50, having its bottom edge located near the grinding point of the second sanding belt roller 50. The second blocking plate 822 is obliquely fixed to correspondingly face to the second arc-like blocking panel 821, spaced apart in a certain distance. And, the second dust-guiding plates 823 are fixed at two sides of the second arc-like blocking panel 821 and the second blocking plate 822, so that the space between the second arc-like blocking panel 821 and the second blocking plate 822 makes up a second gateway 824.
  • In addition, there is a connecting member 83 formed in the top of the first gateway set 81 and the second gateway set 82. Two sides of the connecting member 83 are respectively cut with an opening 84 corresponding respectively to the exits 71 and 72. The connecting member 83 is provided with plural screw holes 831 for fixing with the bottom of the cover 70. Further, a positioning member 85 is set at two sides of the first gateway member 81 and the second gateway member 82 respectively, provided with a L-reversed wing 851 extended upward to the bottom of the cover 70. The wing 851 is provided with two screw holes 852 for two screws 853 to screw with, in order to keep the dust-collecting device 80 positioned fixedly under the bottom of the cover 70.
  • As shown in FIGS. 4˜7, the connecting member 83 is used to combine together the first gateway set 81 and the second gateway set 82, positioned fixedly with the bottom of the cover 70 by means of the screws engaged with the screw holes 832. The openings 84 are connected with the exits 71 and 72. Also, by means of the screws 853 fitted through the wings 851 of the positioning member 85, the dust-collecting device 80 can be fixed under the bottom of the cover 70. Therefore, the dust-collecting device 80 integrally formed with the metallic panel can be directly installed under the cover 70. As a workpiece 90 is put on the conveying table 60 and ground under the front sanding belt roller 40 and the second sanding belt roller 50, the dust or the wood flour is to be sucked through the first gateway 814 of the first gateway set 81 and the second gateway 824 of the second gateway set 82. Owing to the high collecting position and the oblique formation of the firsts dust-guiding plate 813 and the second dust-guiding plate 823, the dust or the wood flour can be quickly sucked up to pass through the exits 71 and 72 and then, collected in the collecting device. It is to be noted that the dust or the wood flour is first sucked orderly through the first gateway 814 and the second gateway 824 respectively and then, concentrated to run out of the exits 71 and 72 located at two sides of the cover 70, able to achieve a high collecting efficiency. So, a rather small power collector can do a good job, relatively reduced in its cost, too.
  • The advantages of the invention are described below as can be seen from the foresaid description. First, a rather high level of the collecting device can effectively collect the dust via the help of the first dust-guiding plate 813 and the second dust-guiding plate 823, keeping the front sanding belt roller 40 and the second sanding belt roller 50 free from dust, advancing the processed precision of a workpiece, prolonging the service life of the rollers and needing only a small power motor for a reduction of cost. Second, the dust-collecting device 80 is formed integrally with a metallic panel, so it is easy to be installed under the cover 70, providing a simple assembly and a low cost, too.
  • While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
