Description
- 1. Field of Invention
- The present invention relates to a brush for cleaning dust from tables, keyboards, office automation machines and video and audio devices, against static charges.
- 2. Related Prior Art
- Disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 6,226,828, issued to the applicant of the present application, is a conventional brush for removing dust. As shown in
FIGS. 11 through 13 of the drawings attached to the present invention, the conventional brush includes a cylinder 1 and abrushing unit 2 movable in the cylinder 1. - The cylinder 1 defines a
slot 11 and anaperture 12. Theslot 11 is in communication with theaperture 12. Thebrushing unit 2 includes a bundle ofbristles 21 bundled by means of aniron wire 26 and ahollow slider 22 for receiving an end of the bundle ofbristles 21 and for sliding in the cylinder 1. Theslider 22 includes an upperelastic strip 23 and a lowerelastic strip 24. Abutton 25 is formed on the upperelastic strip 23. Thebutton 25 includes a neck and a larger head. Theelastic strips button 25 can be moved into the cylinder 1. Thebutton 25 is exposed from the cylinder 1 through theaperture 12. The head of thebutton 25 can be pushed backward so that the neck of thebutton 25 can be moved in theslot 11 and that the bundle ofbristles 21 can be retracted into the cylinder 1 for storage. The head of thebutton 25 can be pushed forward so that the neck of thebutton 25 can be moved in theslot 11 and that the bundle ofbristles 21 can be pushed from the cylinder 1 for use. - Problems have been encountered in the use and fabrication of the conventional brush. Firstly, when the
button 25 is pushed backward from theaperture 12, thebutton 25 is often pushed down so that the head of thebutton 25 is stuck at theslot 11 and that the movement of thebrushing unit 2 is hindered. Secondly, thebristles 21 are bundled by means of theiron wire 26, and this requires labor and time. Thirdly, theiron wire 26 increases the cost of material. Fourthly, theiron wire 26 might harm workers. - The present invention is intended to obviate or at least alleviate the problems encountered in prior art.
- It is an objective of the present invention to provide a brush including a bundle of bristles and a clip for clipping the bristles. The clip includes a boss formed thereon. A cassette defines a space and a slot in communication with the space. The space contains the clip while the slot exposes the boss of the clip so that the boss can be moved in the slot in order to move the clip and the bundle of bristles in the cassette.
- It is another objective of the present invention to provide a brush including a bundle of bristles and a handle for clipping the bristles. The handle includes a clip for clipping the bristles and a grip connected to the clip. The clip includes a first jaw and a second jaw for engagement with the first jaw in order to clip the bundle of bristles.
- Other objectives, advantages and features of the present invention will become apparent from the following description referring to the attached drawings.
- The present invention will be described through detailed illustration of two embodiments referring to the drawings.
