Abstract
The invention relates to a collapsible umbrella, which includes a frame and two layers of cover. The frame includes an elastic rib, which has its inner end extend and bend outward to become a connecting end for assembling the upper-layer cover. The structure of the frame is thus simple and utilized that increase the performance of all collapsible umbrella with the two-layers of cover.
Description
- The present invention relates to a collapsible umbrella, which includes an improved rib of frame for connecting with two layers of cover that is windproof.
- As shown in
FIG. 1 and 2, a conventional collapsible umbrella with two layers of cover includes a frame, which has a first main rib (1) connecting with a short rib (11) for assembling an upper-layer cover (3). FromFIG. 3 , it can be seen that upward wind can pass through the passage between the upper-layer cover (3) and the lower-layer cover (4). Hence, the frame of the umbrella is avoided from broken. - The above structure includes the extra short rib (11) on the first rib (1) of the frame. It is trouble and difficult in manufacturing. And the smooth opening outlook of cover will be destroyed because the convex short rib (11) hereunder.
- The present invention is to provide a collapsible umbrella with two layers of cover, which includes an invented structure on the frame that overcomes the drawback of prior art. Now, accompanying with the following drawings, the character of the present invention will be described here and after.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a traditional frame of a collapsible umbrella with two layers of cover. -
FIG. 2 is a plan view showing an opening state ofFIG. 1 . -
FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing a collapsible umbrella with two layers of cover. -
FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing an umbrella frame according to the present invention. -
FIG. 5 is a plan view showing an opening state ofFIG. 4 . -
FIG. 6 is a perspective view showing another embodiment of the umbrella frame according to the present invention. -
FIG. 7 is a plan view showing an opening state ofFIG. 6 . -
FIG. 8 is a plan view showing an embodiment on a four-folded umbrella according to the present invention. - Please refer to
FIG. 3 to 5, the present invention relates to a collapsible umbrella, which includes a frame, an upper-layer cover (3), and a lower-layer cover (4). The frame at least includes a first rib (1) and a second rib (2). In this example, the present invention is illustrated a three-folded umbrella that has a tail rib (5). The character of this invention is to extend an inner end of a second elastic rib (21) being bent outward to form a connecting end (22) that is provided for assembling the upper-layer cover (3). Since the connecting end (22) is a part of the second elastic rib (21), the manufacturing and assembling will be convenient. After a hook (12) mounted on the first rib (1), the umbrella is then completed for use. - As shown in
FIG. 6 and 7, another embodiment is described that includes the connecting rib (2) of the elastic rib (21) for application on a manual collapsible three-folded umbrella. Under the same invented spirit, other modified design will be claimed in this application, such as to apply a similar structure on a four-folded umbrella, as shown inFIG. 4 , wherein a connecting end (62) is formed on a third elastic rib (6) above the second rib (2) and the third rib (6). - Accordingly, the present invention will be allowed for patent and is therefore applied herein.
Claims (2)
1. A collapsible umbrella with two layers of cover including a frame, an upper-layer cover, and a lower-layer cover, wherein the frame at least includes a first rib, a second rib, and an elastic rib having inner end bent outward to form a connecting end for assembling the upper-layer cover.
2. The collapsible umbrella with two layers of cover as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the collapsible umbrella can be an automatic umbrella or a manual umbrella and a hook is mounted on the first rib for hooking the inner end of the elastic rib.
