Definitions
- a conventional structure of a five-folded umbrella frame as shown in FIG. 1, includes a first rib ( 1 ), a second rib ( 2 ), a third rib ( 3 ), a fourth rib ( 4 ), and a tail rib ( 5 ) being pivotally connected in series.
- a branch rib ( 6 ) is connected with the first rib ( 1 ).
- a second flexible rib ( 21 ) is affixed beside the second rib ( 2 ).
- a first extended rib ( 11 ) is pivotally connected with the frame in parallel relating with the first rib ( 1 ) as well as a third extended rib ( 31 ) relating with the third rib ( 3 ) and a fourth rib ( 41 ) relating with the fourth rib ( 4 ).
- the frame is capable of being opened or closed practically. Since the first, third, and fourth rib ( 11 ), ( 31 ), ( 41 ) are pivotally connected with the ribs of the frame, it is somehow inconvenient in manufacturing and assembling. The connecting position of each rib must be very accurate. If there is evenly a small error, the frame could not be entirely opened or closed and the umbrella can not be used smoothly.
- the primary object of the invention is to provide an improved connecting structure of a five-folded umbrella wherein the extended rib is hooked with the frame that facilitates the manufacturing and the assembly of an umbrella and provides a better flexibility for the umbrella being used in practice.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a five-folded umbrella frame of a prior art umbrella.
- FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a five-folded umbrella frame according to the present invention.
- the present invention is to provide an improved structure of a five-folded umbrella, which includes a first rib ( 1 ), a second rib ( 2 ), a third rib ( 3 ), a fourth rib ( 4 ), a tail rib ( 5 ), and a branch rib ( 6 ) being pivotally connected as a prior umbrella.

- the characteristic of the present invention is to provide the first, third, fourth extended rib ( 11 ), ( 31 ), ( 41 ) having both ends to be a hook structure, which can hook to the related aperture on the frame to become an assembled connecting structure of a complete frame.
- the umbrella according to the present invention can be manufactured and assembled in ease while the extended rib can be hooked conveniently after the main rib being connected in adventure. Moreover, since the extended ribs are not connected with the frame pivotally, the connection will be more flexible between the extended ribs and the frame. It provides an automatic adjustment when the umbrella is opened or closed, if there is an error in assembling or positioning of the extended ribs. So the umbrella can be used smoothly without the trouble of a prior one.
Abstract
The present invention relates to a five-folded umbrella frame, which mainly provides a new hooked connecting structure between the extended rib and the frame for facilitating the manufacturing and assembling of an umbrella. Under the improved assembly, the frame obtains a better flexibility and the umbrella can be opened or closed smoothly. This provides improvement and utility.
Description
- A conventional structure of a five-folded umbrella frame, as shown in FIG. 1, includes a first rib (1), a second rib (2), a third rib (3), a fourth rib (4), and a tail rib (5) being pivotally connected in series. A branch rib (6) is connected with the first rib (1). A second flexible rib (21) is affixed beside the second rib (2). A first extended rib (11) is pivotally connected with the frame in parallel relating with the first rib (1) as well as a third extended rib (31) relating with the third rib (3) and a fourth rib (41) relating with the fourth rib (4). By use of the connection between the rib and extended rib, the frame is capable of being opened or closed practically. Since the first, third, and fourth rib (11), (31), (41) are pivotally connected with the ribs of the frame, it is somehow inconvenient in manufacturing and assembling. The connecting position of each rib must be very accurate. If there is evenly a small error, the frame could not be entirely opened or closed and the umbrella can not be used smoothly.
- Accordingly, the primary object of the invention is to provide an improved connecting structure of a five-folded umbrella wherein the extended rib is hooked with the frame that facilitates the manufacturing and the assembly of an umbrella and provides a better flexibility for the umbrella being used in practice. Now the features and advantages of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a five-folded umbrella frame of a prior art umbrella.
- FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a five-folded umbrella frame according to the present invention.
- Referring to FIG. 2, the present invention is to provide an improved structure of a five-folded umbrella, which includes a first rib (1), a second rib (2), a third rib (3), a fourth rib (4), a tail rib (5), and a branch rib (6) being pivotally connected as a prior umbrella. A first extended rib (11) is connected with the frame in parallel relating with the first rib (1) as well as a third extended rib (31) relating with the third rib (3) and a fourth extended rib (41) relating with the fourth rib (4). The characteristic of the present invention is to provide the first, third, fourth extended rib (11), (31), (41) having both ends to be a hook structure, which can hook to the related aperture on the frame to become an assembled connecting structure of a complete frame.
- Under the above improved structure, the umbrella according to the present invention can be manufactured and assembled in ease while the extended rib can be hooked conveniently after the main rib being connected in adventure.
- Evidently the invention has the essence of a patent. We hereby apply for a patent grant.
