  • IV. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Referring now to the drawings wherein the showings are for purposes of illustrating at least one embodiment of the invention only and not for purposes of limiting the same, FIGS. 1-7 show the inventive device 10, glove 12, base portion 14, zipper pad 16, opening 18, fingers 20, attachment 22, bristles 24, cloth 26, and palm portion 28. In this embodiment, the device 10 consists of a glove 12, which allows an attachment 22 to be selectively removably attached to the glove 12. In this embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 5, the base portion 14 is permanently attached to the palm portion 28 of the glove 12. In this embodiment, the base portion 14 is sewn on to the palm portion 28, but it is to be understood that the base portion 14 can be attached to the glove 12 in any manner, including removably and selectively removably, as long as chosen using sound engineering judgment. The base portion 14, in this embodiment, is a rigid piece of plastic, but can be either rigid or flexible, and can be any type of material that would serve as a base, as long as chosen using sound engineering judgment. The zipper pad 16 is then attached to the base portion 14. In this embodiment, the zipper pad 16 has a lower zipper portion 42 that circumscribes the zipper pad 16. The lower zipper portion 42 mates with an upper zipper portion 44, which circumscribes the attachment 22. The attachment 22 is selectively removably attached to the zipper pad 16 by zipper portions 42, 44.
  • In this embodiment, the attachment 22 is a brush having bristles 24. Once the attachment 22 has been attached to the glove 12, via zipper pad 16 and base portion 14, the associated user can brush their hair by simply rubbing their hand on their head. It is to be understood that the bristles 24 can vary, as desired, depending on the type of hair that an associated user has. Since the attachment 22 is removably attached, the attachment 22 can be easily removed and replaced with a different attachment, or if the original attachment 22 wears out, a replacement can be added to the glove 12.
  • It is to be understood that the glove 12 can be any type of hand covering. It is also to be understood that the zipper portions 42, 44 are not required to circumscribe the zipper pad 16 or attachment 22, and can be any type of zipper, as long as chosen using sound engineering judgment. It is further to be understood that zippers are used in this embodiment of the invention, but are not intended to limit the invention in any manner. Any removable attachment device can be used, as long as chosen using sound engineering judgment.
  • It is also to be understood, as shown in FIG. 4, that the base portion 14′, zipper pad 16′, and attachment 22′ can be curved to match the curvature of an associated user's hand. Also, the attachment 22, 22′ can be some other than a brush, as in FIG. 6, where the attachment 22 is a cloth 26. An attachment 22 can be used on the inventive device 10, as long as chosen using sound engineering judgment.
  • In another embodiment of the invention, shown in FIG. 7, the attachment device 30 is attached directly to the glove 12. As in the previous embodiment, the attachment device 30 may be permanently, removably, or selectively removably attached to the glove 12. The attachment 22 can then be attached to the glove 12 by the attachment device 30. In reference to FIGS. 9-11, which show an exploded view of portion 32 from FIG. 7, some of the attachment devices 30 that can be used in the invention are shown. Zippers 36, snaps 38, and buttons 40 are shown in the referenced FIGURES. However, it is to be understood that any means for removably attaching can be used, as long as chosen using sound engineering judgment.
  • In reference now to FIG. 8, another embodiment of the invention is shown. A tube 34 is inserting through an opening 18 in the glove 12. The tube 34 terminates approximately in the middle of the palm portion 32. The tube 34 is connected to a water supply (not shown) and delivers water to the attachment 22, which in this embodiment is a sponge or cloth. In this embodiment, the attachment 22 has a soap holder 56 located near the terminus of the tube 34, so that when water is delivered, the soap creates suds on the surface of the attachment 22. In this embodiment, as the others, the attachment 22 is removably attached to the glove 12 or a base portion 14.
  • In reference now to FIGS. 12-14, another embodiment of the invention is shown. FIGS. 12-14 show an attachment 22″, attachment holes 46, holding member 48, receiving holes 50, attachment base 52, and pins 54. The attachment base 52 is attached to the glove 12, on or near the palm portion 28. The attachment base 52 has pins 54 extending upwardly from the surface of the base 52. The attachment 22″ is fitted onto the pins 54 via attachment holes 46. The holding member 48 is than attached in place via receiving holes 50 receiving the pins 54 through the attachment holes 46. It is to be understood that the pins 54 and holes 46, 50 are merely embodiments of this invention, and are not intended to limit the invention in any manner. In another embodiment of this invention, the attachment 22″ could slide in between attachment base 52 and holding member 48, without using attachment holes 46.
  • It is to be understood that the hand covering 12 can take the form of a glove, a mitten, a glove with spread fingers, or any other means for receiving an attachment, as long as chosen using sound engineering judgment.
  • An exemplary list of attachments, which is not intended to be an exhaustive list, and is intended to contain all equivalents, is as follows: hair brush, lint brush, sand paper, chamois cloth, sponge, buffer, cloth, wire brush, and cleaning brush.
  • At least one embodiment has been described, hereinabove. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the above methods may incorporate changes and modifications without departing from the general scope of this invention. It is intended to include all such modifications and alterations in so far as they come within the scope of the appended claims or the equivalents thereof.
