Abstract

A multipurpose exercise unit including a pair of frames in parallel with each other and each disposed at one end a first arc stand and another end a second arc stand such that four apexes of both stands support a same plane; a handle each extending from both ends of each stand; a lever being disposed between two stands to connect both frames; and a support member being disposed on the lever to support the back, waist or abdomen of the user for the user to exercise arm muscles, and simulate push-ups or sit-ups by holding the handles.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • (a) Field of the Invention
  • The present invention is related to a multipurpose exercise unit, and more particularly to one that allow its user to work on arm muscles, and simulate push-ups and sit-ups.
  • (b) Description of the Prior Art
  • Whereas the physical mechanism of those 9-5's are vulnerable to earlier decaying and aging, or even “karosi” (death from overwork) due to lacking in finding time for doing exercises, either the employer or the employee should attach importance to maintain balanced work and rest.
  • However, while working in the office, one tends to have few opportunities to exercise his hips, waist, or hands. An exerciser to work on one's hips, waist, or hands generally available in the market as illustrated in FIG. 1 of the accompany drawings includes a pair of frames 10 to support a plane between them. One end of each frame is disposed with an arc stand 11 for the frame 10 to rock in an arc fashion; a handle 12 is laterally disposed on the other end of each frame 10 for the user to hold; and a seat 13 is disposed between and corrected both frames 10 to support the waist or the hips of the user. Both handles 12 and the seat 13 are provided on the same side with the stands 11 with the handle 12 disposed at where farther than the seat 13 from the stand 11.
  • When the user holds both handles 12 to apply force, both handles 12 and the seat 13 forms arcs in different radii relatively to the stands 11 while moving in the same direction with the stands 11 as the center for the user to push or pull or simulate rowing motions. However, the seat 13 supports the waist or hips of the user on a supporting plane, meaning the user has to put on more strength to cause both handles 12 and the seat 13 to more in the same direction with the stands 11 as the center. Accordingly, the excessive efforts needed would result in improper use, thus sports injuries.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a multipurpose exercise unit that allows the user easy and safe use to work on arm muscles and simulate push-ups or sit-ups without the risk of sports injuries.
  • To achieve the purpose, the present invention is essentially comprised of a pair of frames in parallel with each other and each disposed at one end a first arc stand and another end a second arc stand such that four apexes of both stands support a same plane. A handle each extends from both ends of each stand; a lever is disposed between two stands to connect both frames; and a support member is disposed on the lever to support the back, waist or abdomen of the user for the user to exercise arm muscles, and simulate push-ups or sit-ups by holding the handles.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a schematic view showing a construction of a fitness equipment of the prior art.
  • FIG. 2 is a schematic view showing a construction of a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIGS. 3 and 4 are schematic views showing an application status of the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIGS. 5 and 6 are schematic views showing another application status of the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIGS. 7 and 8 are schematic views showing another application status yet of the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, a preferred embodiment of the present invention is essentially comprised of a pair of frames 20 in parallel with each other. Each frame 20 is disposed with a first arc stand 21 on one end and a second arc stand on the other end for four apexes of both arc stands 21, 22 to support a same plane and constitute the arc turning traces executed by both frames 20. Both ends of each frame 20 respectively extend a first handle 23 and a second handle 24. A lever 30 laterally disposed between both arc stands 21, 22 to connect both frames 20 is pivoted to a support member 40. The support member 40 may be related to a combination of multiple massage rollers 41 to support the back, waist or abdomen of the user. The user to may apply his weight upon the support member 40 to do some pivotal motions while achieving the purpose of massage.
  • In practical use as illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 4, the user rests his back on the support member 40 for his weight to apply force upon the support member 40 while holding with both hands on the second handles 24 to pull in for both second handles 24 and the support member to move in the same direction with both arc stands 21 as the center for working on the muscles of the arms or the back. Since all four apexes of both arc stands 21, 22 support the same plane, the back of the user is away from the floor for a given distance to save efforts in pulling in by both second handles 24.
  • As illustrated in FIGS. 5 and 6, the user may have his waist to rest upon the support member 40 with both hands holding both first handle 23 to do the sit-ups with less efforts since all four apexes of both arc stands 21, 22 support the same plane, the back of the user is away from the floor for a given distance. Alternatively, the user may have his abdomen resting on the support member 40 with hands holding both second handles 24 to do the push-ups as illustrated in FIGS. 7 and 8.
  • It is to be noted that the present invention allows the user to shift between lying on back or on abdomen depending on the part of his body to be worked on for achieving the purpose of staying fit without risking sport injuries.
  • The prevent invention provides an improved structure of a multipurpose exercise unit, and the application for a utility patent is duly filed accordingly. However, it is to be noted that that the preferred embodiments disclosed in the specification and the accompanying drawings are not limiting the present invention; and that any construction, installation, or characteristics that is same or similar to that of the present invention should fall within the scope of the purposes and claims of the present invention.
