  • There is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 a presentation package 1 which is constituted by an envelope 2 whose internal volume is determined by the emplacement of a shaping device 3.
  • The envelope 2 is made for example of sheets 4, 5 of plastic material or not, printable or not, opaque, translucent or transparent.
  • The envelope 2 is constituted by a first sheet or film 4 forming for example the bottom of the package 1 and a second sheet of film 5 secured to the first along at least two of its longest edges.
  • In a first embodiment, the envelope 2 is formed of two sheets 4 and 5 which are assembled to each other over at least three edges so as to delimit an opening 6 permitting the emplacement of the object to be packaged.
  • The envelope 2, according to its shape, can have edges 7, 8 of the greatest length which are provided parallel or not to each other.
  • The sheets 4 and 5 comprise, opposite the inlet 6, a cutout 9, of any shape, permitting hanging the package 1 on a presentation stand (not shown).
  • The shaping device 3 is constituted by a stand 10 made either of plastic material or of cardboard or of a material which is printable or not, or of material which is opaque, translucent or not, or of a material identical to the sheets 4, 5 forming the envelope 2.
  • The stand 10 has a bottom 12 with a slightly elongated profile from which extends, in a substantially perpendicular direction, an edge 11.
  • The stand 10 can have any shape according to the profile it is desired to give to the package 1.
  • Similarly, the stand 10 can be shaped to comprise a recess whose profile is similar to that of the product to be packaged.
  • The shaping of the package 1 according to the present invention is, for example, obtained in the following manner:
      • Pressing or pulling on the edges 7 and 8 of the envelope 2 to space the sheets 4 and 5 from each other so as to open the inlet 6,
      • Holding the sheets 4, 5 spaced from each other and introducing through the opening 6 the object to be packaged within the envelope 2,
      • Emplacing the stand 10 between the sheets 4 and 5 to shape and hold the internal volume of the package 1,
      • Securing the edge 11 of the base 10 to the sheets 4 and 5 to close the inlet 6 of the envelope 2.
  • It will be seen that the profile of the stand 10 determines the volume and shape of the package 1.
  • The bottom 12 of the stand 10 permits constituting a bearing and returning face for the object enclosed within the package 1.
  • Before placing the product within the envelope 2, there can be introduced a bottom constituted by a printed label cut out or not from its surroundings for visualizing the product on opposite sides of the package 1.
  • There is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, a first modification of the package 1 as to more particularly the profile and embodiment of the shaping device 3.
  • The envelope 2 is identical to that described previously for FIGS. 1 and 2.
  • The shaping device 3 is constituted by a plate 13 and a support 14 made either of plastic material or cardboard or of a material that is printable or not, or of a material that is translucent or not, or of a material identical to that of the sheets 4, 5 forming the envelope 2.
  • The plate 13 has a substantially rectangular profile of external dimensions less than the internal dimensions of the envelope 2.
  • The plate 13 has a U shaped cutout 15 delimiting a central tongue 16 forming a printable surface to constitute for example the bottom of a package 1.
  • The central tongue 16 can have on its surface a cutout corresponding to the external profile of the product to be packaged to permit its wedging within the package 1.
  • The cutout 15 has on its vertical edges opposite shoulders 17 and angles 18 of rounded profile at the junction of the vertical edges of the U shaped base.
  • The plate 13 has in its upper portion a recess 19 for the passage of the cutout 9 of the envelope 2. The recess 19 is delimited laterally by edges 20 pierced respectively with a hole 21 permitting retaining the plate 13 within the envelope 2.
  • The support 14 comprises a base 22 from which extend vertically edges 23 of conical profile of which each free an end portion as a notch 24 coacting during assembly of the shaping device with the shoulder of the cutout 15 of the plate 13.
  • The support 14 has, at the junction between the vertical edges 23 and the bottom 22, cutouts 25 of a shape complementary to that of the angles 18 of the cutout 15 of the plate 13.
  • The profile of the plate 13 and of the support 14 permits determining a recess E forming a hollow for the reception of the object to be packaged.
  • The shaping of the package 1 according to the present invention is obtained in the following manner:
      • Arranging the shaping device 3 by assembling the support 14 on the plate 13 such that the bottom 22 will come to bear against the U shaped base of the cutout 15 and that the notches 24 of the edges 23 will coact with the corresponding shoulders 17,
      • Placing the object to be packaged in the recess E and more particularly on the bottom 22 of the support 14 such that it will bear against the tongue 16 of the plate 13,
      • Pulling or pushing on the edges 7 and 8 of the envelope 2 to space the sheets 4 and 5 from each other so as to open the inlet 6,
      • Holding the sheets 4, 5 spaced from each other and introducing through the inlet 6 the plate 13 secured to the support 14 within the envelope 2,
      • Securing the plate 13 to the sheets 4 and 5 to close the inlet 6 and to maintain the shape of the envelope 2.
  • It will be seen that the profile of the support 14 provided with its bottom 22 and its edges 23 determines the volume and shape of the package 1.
  • There is shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 a second embodiment of the package 1 as to more particularly the profile and embodiment of the shaping device 3.
  • The envelope 2 is identical to that described previously for FIGS. 1 and 2.
  • The shaping device 3 is similar to that described for FIGS. 3 and 4 as to the profile of the plate 13 and of the support 14.
  • The plate 13 is distinguished from that of FIGS. 3 and 4 only in that the tongue 16 has been omitted to provide a central recess 26 permitting visibility of the packaged product over all the periphery of the package 1. The profile of the plate 13 and of the support 14 permits determining a recess E forming a hollow for the reception of the object to be packaged.
  • The use of the package 1 is identical to that described previously for FIGS. 3 and 4.
  • There is shown in FIGS. 7 and 8 a third embodiment of the package 1 as to more particularly the profile and embodiment of the envelope 2 and of the shaping device 3.
  • The envelope 2 is constituted by two sheets 4 and 5 which are assembled only over their longest edges 7 and 8 so as to provide in the upper and lower portion an inlet 6.
  • The shaping device 3 is formed by a plate 27 and a support 28 made either of plastic material or cardboard or of a material that is printable or not, or of a material that is translucent or not, or of a material identical to that of the sheets 4, 5 forming the envelope 2.
  • The plate 27 has a substantially rectangular profile of external dimensions less than those of the envelope 2.
  • The plate 27 has a central cutout 29 of substantially rectangular shape and a central recess 30 permitting the visibility of the packaged object over all the periphery of the package 1.
  • The cutout 29 forming the central recess 30 has on its vertical edges opposite shoulders 31 and angles 32 of rounded profile.
  • The plate 27 comprises in its upper portion and above the recess 30, a cutout 33 of any shape, permitting hanging the package 1 on a presentation stand (not shown).
  • The recess 30 is traversed by the support 28 which is constituted by a bottom 34 and a top 35 interconnecting by vertical edges 36.
  • The support 28 has at the junction between the vertical edges 36 and the bottom 34 and between the vertical edges 36 and the top 35, cutouts 37 of a shape complementary to that of the angles 32 of the cutout 29 of the plate 27.
  • The vertical edges 36 of the support 28 are pierced respectively by a hole 38 which coacts during assembly of the shaping device with the corresponding shoulders 31 of the cutout 29 of the plate 27.
  • The profile of the plate 27 and of the support 28 permits defining a recess E forming a hollow for the reception of the object to be packaged.
  • The shaping of the package 1 according to the present invention is achieved in the following manner:
      • Arranging the shaping device 3 by assembling the support 28 on the plate 27 such that the cutout 37 will coact with the rounded angles 32 of the cutout 29 and that the holes 38 of the edges 36 coact with the corresponding shoulders 31 so as to constitute the recess E for reception of the object,
      • Placing the object to be packaged on the bottom 34 of the support 28,
      • Pushing or pulling on the edges 7 and 8 of the envelope 2 to space the sheets 4 and 5 from each other so as to open the inlets 6,
      • Holding the sheets 4, 5 spaced from each other and introducing through one of the inlets 6 the plate 27 secured to the support 28 within the envelope 2,
      • Securing the plate 27 to the sheets 4 and 5 to close the inlets 6 and to maintain the shape of the envelope 2.
  • There is shown in FIGS. 9 and 10 a fourth embodiment of the package 1 as to more particularly the profile and form of the shaping device 3.
  • The envelope 2 is identical to that described above for FIGS. 1 and 2.
  • The shaping device 3 is constituted by a shell 40 having a profile similar to that of the plate 13 and of the support 14 assembled according to the first embodiment of the present invention (FIGS. 3 and 4).
  • The shell 40 is made either of moulded plastic or of cardboard or of a material that is printable or not, or of a material that is translucent or not, or of a material identical to that of the sheets 4, 5 forming the envelope 2.
  • The shell 40 comprises a flat surface 41 having a substantially rectangular profile of external dimensions less than the internal dimensions of the envelope 2.
  • The shell 40 is shaped to delimit a recess E of any shape connected to the flat surface 41.
  • The recess E comprises a horizontal bottom 43 from which extend vertically opposite edges 44, 45 of conical profile, and a vertical flap 46 closing the recess.
  • The recess E has at the horizontal bottom 43 a volume greater than that in its upper portion because of the conicity of the opposite edges 44, 45.
  • The horizontal bottom 43 is provided to form a support base for the object to be packaged within the package 1.
  • The shell 40 and more particularly the flat surface 41 have, in the upper portion, a recess 47 for the passage of the cutout 9 of the envelope 2.
  • The recess 47 is delimited laterally by edges 48 permitting the securement of the shell 40 within the envelope 2 and rendering the package 1 inviolable.
  • The shape of the shell 40 permits determining a recess E forming a hollow for the reception of the object to be packaged.
  • The shaping of the package 1 according to the present invention is achieved in the following manner:
      • Placing the object to be packaged in the recess E of the shell 40,
      • Pushing or pulling on the edges 7 and 8 of the envelope 2 to space the sheets 4 and 5 from each other so as to open the inlet 6,
      • Holding the sheets 4, 5 spaced from each other and introducing through the inlet 6 the shell 40 within the envelope 2,
      • Securing the shell 40 by means of the flat wall 41 to the sheets 4 and 5 to close the inlet 6 and to maintain the shape of the envelope 2.
  • It will be seen that the profile of the shell 40 obtained from the flat wall 41 and recess E determines the volume and shape of the package 1.
  • It will be seen that the package 1 according to the present invention is easy to use as to the emplacement of the object to be packaged and the shaping device.
  • It will be noted that at least one of the sheets forming the envelope 2 and more particularly the one adapted to provide the bottom of the package 1, can be constituted by a double wall delimiting a space for the introduction of a printed label.
  • It will be noted that the envelope 2 of the package 1 has before shaping edges 7, 8 which are inclined relative to each other. It will be noted that after the introduction of the shaping element 3 into the envelope 2, the edges 7, 8 become substantially parallel to each other.
  • It will be noted that the recess E of the shaping element 3 forming a hollow for the reception of the product to be packaged, can be arranged so as to wedge, position and orient one or several different products in the same package.
  • It must furthermore be understood that the preceding description has been given only by way of example and that it in no way limits the scope of the invention from which one will not depart by replacing the details of execution described, by any other equivalent.
