Application ctoberjl5, 1932 S'eri'alNo. 637,883 6 Claims. (01. 20-94) i The. invention. relates to a metal. connection same size. The wings 24 are each provided with for frames with. especial adaptation for connecta wing extension 3% separated from the body of v ins; framexbars: angularly arranged. the blank. by a cut d. The blank i8 is folded TheVobjectI-ofthe invention is to provide a upon the dotted lines a to provide. opposing strong rigid; metal connection for the frame bars spaced face portions 20- and a connecting end 5 and one which will define the precise angular portion 2| in. the formed connection, (see Fig. 4)
positioning of the bars on applying thev bars to the portions 28 extending respectively from the. the connection. ii top andbottom edges of said end portion. The The invention is; particularly applicable to the side win 23 d 24 0f the blank also 10; qnatmwtion. of ,iskeleton frames upon which folded respectively upon the dotted lines- D and 10 are stretchedfor tanning purposes. Such C to. form side portions 23 and 24 in the formed frames are. subjected "to unusually hard usage connection. The folded side portions 23 and 24 and; abutting frame membersiare usually sewill then extend from the side edges of the face clnteti together by a. tongue on one of the memportions 20, andin the formed connection will oohere: engaging a. groove in the other. Because cupvoverlapping relationship to one anothenthe 15 of hard usage: that these frames receive, the portions 23 occupying an overlapping positiontongue or groove becomes broken thus rendering with relation to. the'underlying portions 24. To the: frame useless. A further object of the insecure such overlapp relationship bet/Ween venticm: istol-overcomethi'sd'i'ificu-lty and provide these side'portions of the connection it will be v a skeleton frame within the terms ofthe object observed thatin the blank the dotted line c 20 first. abavereferredto. upon which the wing '23- is. bent is slightly offset The invention will be more clearly understood from the side edge Oft y the blank, the y from the following description in conjunction Wings 24 turning on the dotted line 11 Which lies with the accompanying drawing in which within said edge.
