ORNEY Patented Apr. 9,1935 I Y ram;
This-invention relates to new and useful improvements in means for holding, for dispensing or for vending paper wrappers; While the in-. vention' may be utilized for various paper w'rap pers, or -poss1bly even for wrappers which are invention is'* more containeras well made of sheet material-otlier'than paper,"yetl the particularly intended as a holder for cigarettepa'pers and relates 'to the provision of a device which may be readily attached to tobacco cansahd will-act asa -paper as -to holdth'e' paper's irfsuch a'manner that they may bere'mo'ved for-use one atatimel i f a *Another important objectof the-invention is to provide for ipaperlwrappers a holder which is constructed in sucha manner that it may readily be fitted in a friction tight manner within the lid of 'a tobacco can without interfering with the opening and closing movements-of the lid, and "which will safely st y in its operative position until -the paper wrappers held therein have all been Withdrawn, whereupon the holder may be readily removed and returnedto its operative position after refilling; or replaced by another holder filled with the paper wrappers, which the trade has provided for the user.
Still another object of the invention is to provide improved means for causing the packet of wrappers contained in the device to remain in a proper withdrawable condition until all the wrappers therefrom. V Y V Yet another object of the invention is to pro:
' vide, as a new. article of manufacture, a container for cigarette wrappers which can be manufactured at a very low cost, suppliedwith a packet of the wrappers and then possibly furnished gratis to a customer who has purchased a can of tobacco.
Other objects, advantages and features of the invention may'hereinafter appear.
Referring to the accompanying drawing which illustrates what is at present deemed to be a preferred embodiment of the invention,
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a tobaccocan showing the same equipped with the invention, the lid of the can being in an open position and portions of said lid being broken away to show underlying structures.
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a wrapper supporting member provided by the invention, a portion of said holder being broken away in order toshow the interior thereof more clearly. V
Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the wrapper holding device separately shown, an end portion rangement of the wrappers.

It, is to be understood thatthe wrappers I 9 will be assembled in pack form in a well known interfolded manner so that each time the front 5 wrapper iswithdrawn an v edge ofthe next wrapper will project from the slot l1 wher'eit will be readily accessible to the fingers of the user. The

It will probably be-found most advantageous to make this housing of sheet metal,
