7 4 Claims. (ciao-40) This invention relates to windows and more particularly to what I term a four way window. It has for its objects to provide a window, and operating means therefor, capable of opening 5 the window to various extents and holding the window open at any extent desired, or closed; to provide a window which will open to the east, or to the west to catch the wind direction, or at I the top to admit the unobstructed sunshine, ,or from the bottom to shed the rain, and all for a better and improved ventilation under varying conditions, and to provide the various'other advantages and results made evident from the foltions. Figures 1, 2, and 3 show one embodiment of the operating mechanism which is capable of modification.
Referring again to the drawing, it will be seen that the window is provided with an inner and an outer sash, the inner sash for opening purposes, and the outer, a circular sash, adaptable for turning in the casing within which it is mounted, forthe purpose of enabling the inner sash, which is mounted upon the outer sash, to open in any and all directions.
