E is a cover, attached to the end of the case It is thrown back when blanks are being inserted, after which it is closed, and secured with a spring-catch and pin, G. The cover E rests upon the ends of the pins D, and

prevents the blanks from being withdrawn from them. The sides H of the case project a little above the paper upon each side thereof,

and hold it securely in its place. I is a blank through which the pins D have been inserted.

J is the place where the reserve blanks are stored for future use.

When the blank I is written full, the cover 'E is thrown back, and a new blank is drawn from the receptacle A and placed above it upon the pins D. Thus one blank after another is added to the file from day to day. 'At

the end of each week or month, as desired,

the record thus filled may be withdrawn from the pins, and a cord inserted through the holes in them and secured for filing.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Let ters Patent, is

As a new article of manufacture, a register and file consisting of a case for holding blanks, provided with pins D, sides H, a receptacle, A, for the reserve blanks, door G, cover E, spring-catch and pin G, all combined and arranged substantially as and for the purpose specified.
