l MPROVE M ENT IN CHURNS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 198,143, dated December 11, 1877; application filed.
' October 11, 1877.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN W. MOSHER, of Newton, in the countyof Jasper, and'in the State of Iowa, have invented certain, new and useful Improvements in Ohurns; and do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, making a part of this specification.
The nature of my invention consists in the construction and arrangement of a frame for holding and revolving churns, the peculiarities of which will be hereinafter fully set forth.
r In the accompanying drawing, which is a perspective, and which is a part of this specification, A represents a base-frame, of suitable size to have strength and firmness. Upon this frame are erected two standards, B B, which are slotted or provided with trunnionbearings in their upperends.
O O are the two side standards or posts, and E F the bottom and top boards, of a revolving frame, in which the churn is held. The posts 0 G are provided, at their centers, with the trunnions d d, which have their bearings in the upper ends of the standards Keys G G pass through slots in the upper ends of the posts O G, and are intended to wedge down and hold in place the top board F, which bears upon the churn-top.
