Operation In the use of this invention, the base plates 10 will first be fastened to the upper right and left-hand corners of the window frame 11. The shade roller supports 21 will then be inserted in the desired alined slots 1'7 and 23 according to the length of the particular shade roller to be hung thereupon.

The brackets 19 and 20 will next be attached to the base plates 10 outside of the brackets 21.

In assembling the bracket (19, 20, 21) to the plate 10, the locking projection 18 will first be positioned in the desired slot 17 in the upper flange 13, and the bracket will then be forced downwardly to cause the cam lobe 24 to forcibly slip past the outer end 36 of the slot 23 until the reentrant arcuate slot 3'7 formed adjacent the lobe 24 (see Fig. 5) engages the end 36 of said slot 37, as shown by the dotted lines in Fig. 4. A snap-locking engagement between said bracket and said plate 10 will thus be effected.

In order to release the supporting bracket (19, 20, 21) from the base plate 10, it will only be necessary for the operator to manually press downwardly on the U-shaped bead 22 with one hand, and pull upwardly with the other hand upon the outer end of said bracket.

While there has been disclosed in this specification one form in which the invention may be embodied, it is to be understood that this form is shown for the purpose of illustration only, and that the invention is not to be limited to the specific disclosure but may be modified and embodied in various other forms without departing from its spirit. In short, the invention includes all the modifications and embodiments coming within the scope of the following claims.

Having thus fully described the invention, what is claimed as new, and for which it is desired to secure Letters Patent, is:

1. In a curtain fixture, a base plate comprising a body portion, upper and lower forwardly-extending flanges connected to said base plate and having vertically alined slots therein for supporting a bracket member having interlocking engagement with said slots.

2. In a curtain fixture, a base plate comprising a body portion and upper and lower forwardly-extending parallel flanges, each flange having a plurality of spaced slots therein, the slots in said respective flanges being in vertical alinement for supporting a bracket member fitted into said slots with a detachable snap-locking engagement.

3. In a combination curtain and shade supporting fixture, a base plate having longitudinal upper and lower flanges extending forwardly therefrom, said flanges having a plurality of spaced longitudinal slots provided therein in vertical alinement with respect to each other for supporting a plurality of bracket members having detachable snap-locking engagement within alined slots in said flanges, for supporting the conventional type of curtain rods and shade rollers thereupon.

In a combination curtain and shade supporting fixture, a base plate for attachment to a window frame, said plate being bent longitudinally to form upper and lower forwardly-extending parallel flanges, the upper flange being substantially horizontal, and the lower flange inclined at an angle of substantially forty-five degrees, said flanges being provided with a plurality of spaced slots located in vertical alinement with each other for supporting a plurality of bracket members having means for selective detachable snap-locking engagement within aligned pairs of said slots for supporting the conventional type of U-shaped curtain rods thereupon.

5. In a combination curtain and shade supporting fixture, a base plate having means for attachment to a window frame, said plate being bent longitudinally to form upper and lower forwardlyextending parallel flanges, the upper flange being horizontal and the lower flange being downwardly inclined from said body, said flanges being provided with a plurality of spaced slots in vertical alinement withrespect to each other for supporting a plurality of supporting curtain brackets, each having a projecting locking lug formed at one corner thereof for interlocking selective engagement in one of the slots in said upper flange, each bracket also having a cam-shaped lobe on its opposite side for snap-locking engagement in one of the slots in said inclined flange.

6. In a combination curtain and shade supporting fixture, a base plate having means for attachment to a window frame, said plate being bent longitudinally to form upper and lower forwardly-extending parallel flanges, the upper flange being horizontal and the lower flange being downwardly inclined from said body, said flanges being provided with a plurality of spaced slots in vertical alinement with respect to each other for supporting a plurality of supporting curtain brackets, each having a projecting locking lug formed at one corner thereof for interlocking selective engagement in one of the slots in said upper flange, each bracket also having a cam shaped lobe on its opposite side for snap-locking engagement in one of the slots in said inclined flange, the lobes of said bracket projecting a substantial distance through the lower slot to prevent lateral twisting of said brackets.

'7. In a combination curtain and shade supporting fixture, a base plate having longitudinal upper and lower flanges extending forwardly therefrom, said flanges having a plurality of spaced longitudinal slots provided therein in vertical alinement with respect to each other for supporting a plurality of bracket members having detachable snap-looking engagement within the alined slots in said flanges for supporting the conventional type of curtain rods and shade rollers thereupon, said lower flange being resilient and being adapted, when manually depressed, to release said bracket members from interlocking engagement.
