The hollow vertical upright 15 supports a post light 23 which is encased in the glass cylinder 20, as is the upright 15. A wire connection 29 supplies current to the post light 23, extending through the hollow vertical upright 15 and passing out of the apparatus through a groove in the base of the platform 11. The hollow vertical upright 15 also supports a name plate 24 above the glass cylinder 20.

The glass cylinder 20 is fitted with a cover 30 at its upper end, the cover having an opening 31 at its center to permit passage of the vertical standard 15 and a plurality of openings 32, to permit the escape of air heated by the post light 23.

It is preferred to construct the platforms of bakelite or a similar material, and to form the cylinder 20 of frosted. glass. The vertical upright, the name plate and the spring holders are preferably of metal having a chromium finish. The lower fixed platform ll-may also be of bakelite and may likewise be decorated with chromium bands. It should be noted, however, that the invention is not restricted to these materials or to this ornamentation.

The invention has been shown only as adapted to a display stand for bottles such as perfume bottles and the like, but it is obvious that many modifications are possible which do not depart from the spirit of the invention. With the understanding that the embodiment here described and illustrated in the drawing is presented not as a limitation but merely to indicate how the invention may be applied.

I claim:

1. A display stand for bottles comprising a fixed platform, a platform revoluble upon said fixed platform for supporting a plurality of bottles, and spring holders with ends which have portions to normally engage the shoulders of the bottles on opposite sides of the bottle necks and carried by said revoluble platform for resiliently pressing upon the shoulders of the bottles on either side of their necks toward said revoluble platform to maintain the bottles in position thereupon.

2. A display stand for bottles comprising a fixed platform, a platform revoluble upon said fixed platform for supporting a plurality of bottles, and unitary spring holders having bifurcated ends carried by said revoluble platform for resiliently pressing upon the shoulders of the bottles on either side of their necks toward said revoluble platform to maintain them in position thereupon.

A display stand for bottles comprising a fixed. platform, a platform revoluble thereon for supporting a plurality of bottles, spring holders carried by said revoluble platform, said spring holders being adapted to hold and resiliently press downwardly upon said revoluble platform bottles to be displayed to maintain them in a predetermined position.

4. In a display stand for bottles, a movable upper platform, a fixed lower platform, said upper platform being revoluble upon said lower platform, and spring holders for said bottles being bifurcated at their outer ends and curved to resiliently press downwardly upon the shoulders of bottles to hold them upon said upper platform.

5. In a display stand for bottles, a movable upper platform, a fixed lower platform, concentric opposed grooves of equal diameter in said two platforms, antifriction balls in said grooves for supporting said upper platform revolubly upon said lower platform, spring holders with ends adapted to engage the bottles on opposite sides of the necks of the bottles and carried by said upper platform, said spring holders being adapted to hold and exert a resilient pressure upon said bottles to be displayed by pressing upon the shoulders of said bottles in a direction toward said upper platform.

6. A display stand for bottles comprising a fixed platform, a platform revoluble upon said fixed platform for supporting a plurality of bottles, unitary spring holders having bifurcated ends carried by said revoluble platform and adapted to exert a resilient pressure upon the shoulders of the bottles on either side of their necks to maintain them in position upon said revoluble platform, and a releasable joining member between said bifurcations.

7. In a display stand for bottles, a movable upper platform, a fixed lower platform, said upper platform being revoluble upon said lower platform, unitary spring bottle holders mounted upon said upper platform, said spring holders being bifurcated at their outer ends and curved to exert a resilient pressure upon the shoulders of the bottles to hold them upon said upper platform.
