A floor surfacing and polishing device including, a frame formed with parallel side members, one of said members being pivotally mounted so that one end thereof may swing to one side, shaft bearings carried by said side members, a shaft carried in said bearings, a floor surfacing and polishing wheel carried on said shaft, the bearing in said swingable side being movable away from said shaft to permit the changing of said floor surfacing wheel, a removable hood over said wheel, means for securing said hood to said side members to hold said pivotal side from pivoting, a platform adjacent said wheel between said sides, and an electric motor for driving said wheel adjustably mounted on said platform.
5. In combination, a pair of frame members, caster wheels for supporting one end of said frame members, a platform extending across between said frame members, one of said frame members being pivotally mounted to swing beneath said platform to one side thereof, bolts for holding said pivotally mounted side member rigidly to said platform, bearings carried by the ends of said side members opposite to said caster wheels, one of said bearings being movable with the free end of said movable side member, a shaft for receiving different rolls mounted in said bearings, the rolls being placed on said shaft when said side member with the bearing is moved away from said shaft, and an electric motor mounted on said platform for operating said shaft and the rolls mounted thereon.

A floor surfacing device including, a frame having a platform, side members under said platform adapted to support the same, one of which is stationary while the other is pivoted to swing away to one side, a shaft bearing mounted in said stationary member, a shaft bearing mounted in the free end of said movable member, and means for receiving a floor surfacing wheel on said shaft, means for locking said movable side member in operative position to support the end of said shaft, and slot means in said platform for permitting said locking means to swing free with said movable member when unlocked.
7. A floor surfacing device including, a frame comprising parallel side members, wheels supporting one end of each of said side members, means for pivotallly mounting one of said side members, a floor surfacing roller mounted between the other ends of said side members, and removable connecting means extending over said roller to hold said sides in proper spaced relationship.
8. A floor surfacing device including, a frame comprising parallel side members, wheels supporting one end of said side members, means for pivotally mounting one of said side members to said frame, a floor surfacing roller mounted between the other ends of said side members, and a side member connecting hood for said floor surfacing roller to hold said sides in proper spaced relationship.
9. A floor surfacing device including, a frame, parallel side members on said frame, wheels supporting one end of said frame, means for pivotally mounting one of said side members to said frame, a floor surfacing roller mounted between said side members, bearings insaid side members, pins in said side members, a hood over said roller, and means on said hood co-operable with said pins to hold said sides in proper spaced relationship.
10. A fioor surfacing device including, a frame comprising parallel sides, wheels supporting one end of said side members, a platform connecting said sides, means for pivotally securing one of said side members to said platform, a floor surfacing roller mounted between the other ends of said side members, and side member connecting hood means detachably secured to said side members to hold the same in proper spaced relationship.
