3 Claims.

This invention relates to collapsible containers, more particularly to dog kennels, poultry coops, and the like, and has for one of its objects'to improve the construction and increase the efiiciency and utility of devices of this character.

Another object of the invention is to provide a device of this character, constructed of separate parts which may be shipped, knocked down, and assembled where the building is employed. With these and other objects in view, the invention consists in certain novel features of construction as hereinafter shown and described and then specifically pointed out in the claims, and in the drawings illustrative of the preferred embodiment of the invention.

' The improved device is designed more particularly for housing and protecting dogs, and comprises a housing 'or kennel divided into two or. more compartments, one compartment arranged as a runway, or hallway, and the other compartment communicating with the runway and adapted to be utilized for sleeping or retiring, and providing protection for the animal from the weather, or from being disturbed by other animals.

The preferred embodiment of the invention is disclosed in the drawings and set forth in the specification, but it will be understood that modifications within the scope of the claimed inven tion may be made in the construction without departing from the principle of the invention or sacrificing any of its advantages.

What I claim is:

1. In a collapsible building, a pair of front and a pair of rear corner posts, the posts of each pair being arranged in parallel spaced relation, the posts of the front pair being arranged in parallel spaced relation with respect to the posts of the rear pair, each of said posts being formed with superposed horizontally disposed openings, a front wall secured to the rear faces of the posts of the front pair, a rear wall secured to the forward face of the posts of the rear pair, the bottoms of said walls being spaced above the lower ends of the posts, a pair of removable side walls corresponding in height to that of and arranged between the front and rear walls, flat bars fixed to the outer faces of the side walls and extending forwardly therefrom to oppose the outer sides of the front posts, flat bars fixed to the outer faces of the side walls and extending rearwardly therefrom to oppose the outer sides of the rear posts, said bars having the extended portions thereof provided with horizontal openings aligning with the openings in said posts, a pair of spaced parallel supports arranged above the lower ends of the posts and below the bottoms of said walls, means for detachably connecting the ends of each support to a front and a rear post, a floor removably mounted on said supports, means extending through said aligning openings fordetachably connecting said bars to the posts, and a roof removably mounted on the posts.

2. In a collapsible building, a pair of front and a pair of rear corner posts, the posts of each pair being arranged in parallel spaced relation, the posts of the front pair being arranged in parallel spaced relation with respect to the posts of the rear pair, each of said posts being formed with superposed horizontallydisposed openings,afront wall secured to the rear faces of the posts of the front pair, a rear wall secured to the forward face of the posts of the rear pair, the bottoms of said walls being spaced above the lower ends of the posts, a pair of removable side walls corresponding in height to that of and arranged between the front and rear walls, fiat bars fixed to the outer faces of the side walls and extending forwardly therefrom to oppose the outer sides of the front posts, fiat bars fixed to the outer faces of the side walls and extending rearwardly therefrom to oppose the outer sides of the rear posts, said bars having the extended portions thereof provided with horizontal openings aligning with the openings in said posts, a pair of spaced parallel. supports arranged above the lower ends of the posts and below the bottoms of said walls, means for detachably connecting the ends of each support to a front and a rear post, a floor removably mounted on said supports, means extending through said aligning openings for detachably connecting said bars to the posts, a roof removably mounted on the posts, said front and The improved device is simple in construction,

3. In a collapsible building, a pair of front and a pair of rear corner posts, the posts of each pair being arranged in parallel spaced relation, the posts of the front pair being arranged in parallel spaced relation with respect to the posts of the rear pair, each of said posts being formed with superposed horizontally disposed openings, a front wall secured to the rear faces of the posts of the front pair, a rear wall secured to the forward face of the posts of the rear pair, the bottoms of said walls being spaced above the lower ends of the posts, a pair of removable side walls corresponding in height to that of and arranged between the front and rear walls, flat bars fixed to the outer faces of the side walls and extending forwardly therefrom to oppose the outer sides of the front posts, flat bars fixed to the outer faces of the side walls and extending rearwardly therefrom to oppose the outer sides of the rear posts, said bars having the extended portions thereof provided with horizontal openings aligning with the openings in said posts, a pair of spaced parallel supports arranged above the lower ends of the posts and below the bottoms of said walls, means for detachably connecting the ends of each support to a front and. a rear post, a floor removably mounted on said supports, means extending,

through said aligning openings for detachably connecting said bars to the posts, a roof removably mounted on the posts, vertically disposed apertured means removably connected to said front and rear walls to provide in connection with the latter and with the said floor, roof andthe side walls a compartment and runway and an entrance from the latter to the former and said front wall being formed with an entrance opening for the runway.
