The invention is further characterized. in that the sole matrix or sole matricesare moved in a way similar to the one. in which theQside matrices are moved.
After the actual pressing process the side rnat rices as well, as the sole matrices are again moved outwards so that the finished galosh or rubber shoe fitting on the last may be removed together with the latter and a new last dressed with caoutchouc and fabric lining may be insertedin the machine to replace that which has been re-.- moved. 7

The coupling is arranged in known manner so that the toothed wheel may rotate freely on the shaft when the pawl 47 is not secured and kept at rest by one of the stops or 46, while the toothed wheel 12 is coupled up with the crankshaft as soon as the pawl '47 clears the said stops. The frame plate 42 (Fig. 7) carries a two-armed rotatable ratchet 48 whose one end may engage with the upper edge of the crescent-shaped member 41, and whose other end is'adapted to be actuated by one'ortwo projections 49 provided on a cam 50 carried bya ratchet wheel 51- rotatably' mounted on the frame .plate 42. The'said ratchet wheel 51 is actuated by a pawl 52 rotatably connected with a double lever 53 mounted on the frame plate 42., is adapted to be acted uponby a number of projections 54 provided on a cam 154 rotatingtogether with the toothed wheel 12. The upper end of. the crescent-shaped member 41 is provided with a projecting member 55 which, as may be shaped member 41 to .be lowered (Fig. 7);
