The object of the invention is the production of a wardrobe bag, which can be easily collapsed into a small package, so that it can be easily transported. The second object of the invention is the production of a wardrobe bag, in which may be detachably suspended a plurality of clothes hangers and separators. The third object of the invention is the production of a ward robe bag adapted to detachably support a cover and avoid ruflling the latter. The fourth object of the invention is the production of a wardrobe bag provided with a detachable cover, wherewith garments, clothing and the like are protected from dust, moths and the like, and which cover can be easily opened to insert said garments and clothing into the bag, and which can also be securely closed. The fifth object of the invention is the production of a wardrobe bag having hangers, from which may be suspended various styles of clothing including underclothing, and maintained in position without danger of becoming detached or ruffled. The sixth object of the invention is the production of a wardrobe bag having a cover provided with suitable pockets for hats and other objects. The seventh object of the invention is the production of a wardrobe bag, adapted to have suspended therein various articles of clothing, in spaced relation to each other, to avoid direct contact with each other and to permit a circulaion of air between them. The eighth object of the invention is the production of a wardrobe bagsuspended by a pair of supporting hooks to maintain the wardrobe in its normal level position without any tendency to tilting. The ninth object of the invention is the production of a wardrobe with a cover having an open end that can be closed and fastened in place.

Referring to Figs. 1 to 19 inclusive the wardrobe bag in this exemplification is indicated to comprise an upper frame and the lower frame 60. The latter is suspended from the upper frame by means of the bands 75. Hangers 30 are sus pended from the upper frame 30, and separators 120 disposed between the hangers 80 are also suspended from the upper frame 30. A plurality of hangers 125 are suspended from the lower frame 60. Acover 133 is supported upon the upper frame 30 and extends below the lower frame 60. The upper frame 30 in this instance comprises the wire having the side members 31, the end member 32 and the end member consisting of the portions 33. The latter are connected by the sleeve 34. Ts are indicated having the horizontal sleeves 37 and the vertical sleeves 38. The horizontal sleeves 37 are supported upon and may be soldered to the side members 31. A cross brace 40 spaced below the members 31, has formed therewith the vertical end members 41, which terminate in the eyes 42. It will be noted that the upper ends of the eyes 42 and the sleeves 37 are in the same horizontal plane. The vertical members 41 extend through and are soldered to the vertical sleeves 38. Supporting cross braces 43 have formed at their ends the eyes 44, which engage and are fastened to the members 31. hooks 45 are indicated each with the turned up outer supplemental hook 46 and the vertical leg 4'? having the eye 43 at its lower end. From each of the eyes 48 is suspended one of the eyes 42. In each vertical leg 47 is formed a second eye 49. A chain 50 has one end fastened to the eye 49 and its other end is adapted tobe detachably connected to the supplemental hook 46. The hooks 45 are supported upon the pole 52.

The lower frame 60, in this instance, comprises thewire having the side members 61, the end member 62 and the end portions 63. The latter A pair of supporting are connected by the sleeve 64. A rack shaped supporting brace extends between the side members 61. The supporting brace 65 comprises the body portion 66, in which are formed the triangular shaped openings 67 having the tapering edges 68, and the bottom supporting edges 69. The ends 70 of the body portion 66 are twisted to planes at right angles to said body portion 65, and have formed therewith the eyes 71, which latter are supported on the side members 61.

From the cross brace 40 of the upper frame 30 are suspended a plurality of hangers 80. Each of the hangers comprises a pair of flexible arms, each comprising the outer inclined member 81 and the inner inclined member 82 connected by the curved crown 83. The lower end of each member 81 has extendin therefrom the hook end comprising the inwardly extending horizontal portion 84, the curved outer portion 85 and the inclined inner hook end 86 terminating in the eye 87. The inner inclined member 82 has extending from its lower end the hook end comprising the outwardly extending horizontal portion 88, the curved outer portion 89 and the end 90 terminating in the eye 91. The eye 91 is in close proximity to the horizontal portion 84 of the member 81. A cushioning sleeve 92 of rubber or other pliable material is fastened to each member 81, by an adhesive or other means. A pivot 96 has extending from one end the threaded shank 97, and at its other end is formed the hexagon head 98. A washer is shown at 99. A nut 100 is provided for the threaded shank 97 and a pin 101 extends through said shank 97. curved crowns 83 of the hangers 80 are supported on the pivot 96.

A pair of clamping arms 104 have formed at their ends the eyes 105 and 106. The eyes 105 are supported on the pivot 96, and to each eye 106 is fastened a cushioning sleeve 108 of rubber or other pliable material by an adhesive or other means. The sleeves 92 and 108 are disposed to be in line with each other. A supporting hook is indicated at with the straight portion 116, and the eye 117 at its lower end. The eye 117 engages the pivot 96. The arms 104 can be easily swung on thepivot 96, when the nut 160 is loosened on the shank 97, to separate the said arms 104 from the arms 81 to insert portions of garments between the cushioning sleeves 92 and 108. The hooks 115 are suspended from the cross brace 40 of the upper frame 30.

Separators 120 made of cardboard or other suitable material are indicated having the tapered upper portions 121 having the clearance openings 122. suspending hooks 123 are fastened to the said separators 120 by means of eyelets 124 or other means. The hooks 128 are suspended from the cross braces 43. The separators 120 are disposed between the hangers 86 to separate the clothing or other objects supported on the hangers 80. From the rack shaped supporting brace 65 are suspended a plurality of hangers 125. Each of the hangers 125 preferably comprises the curved body portion 126, from which extends a suspending hook 127, having the eye 128 at its outer end. A leg 129 is formed with hook 127 and extends from the body portion 126. A sleeve 180 encircles and is fastened to the leg 129. A spring 131 has its lower end fastened to the leg 129, by means of the sleeve 130, and at the upper end of the spring 131 is formed the eye 132. A loop 182a is formed with the spring 181. The spring 131 normally bears against the eye 128. It will be noted thatthe hooks 127 are seated upon the horizontal edges 69 of the openings 67 in the rack shaped supporting braces 65. The tapered edges 68 of the openings 67 in said supporting brace tend to prevent the hooks rising from the horizontal supporting edges 69. From the body portion 126 extend a pair of hooks, each of which comprises the inclined inner member 133, the horizontal upper member 134, the downwardly extending member 135, the horizontal member 136 and the inwardly inclined member 137.

From the upper frame 36 is suspended the cover designated in its entirety by the numeral 138. The said cover 138 comprises the top having the openings 141 through which the portions 47 of the hooks 45 extend. The upper ends of the eyes 42 and the sleeves 37 are in same horizontal plane to permit the seating of the top 140 Without being ruffled. From the said top 146 extend the side members 142, the rear member 144 and the front portions 145 and The portions 145 and 146 when the cover is closed are placed one over the other and connected by the snap fasteners 147 and 148. The portions 145 and 146 produce a cover having an open end that can be closed. The lower end of the cover is closed by the bottom member 149. A cardboard 150, or other piece of rectangular material is detachably supported over the bottom member 149, to maintain the cover 138 in proper position.

A pair of pockets 154, comprise each the outer vertical curved member 155, the bottom member 156 and the rear member 157. The said pockets 154 are sewed to the side member 142. A flap 158 extends from the member 142 over the open top ends of said pockets.

To the member 143 of the cover 138 are fastened by sewing, or other means, the pockets 166, having the vertical semi-cylindrical members 164, the bottom members 165 and the rear member 166. Between the said pockets 163 is formed the supplemental pocket 167 in which a brush can be placed. A flap 168 extends from the mem ber 143 over the open top ends of the pockets 163.

A cylindrical bag 169 for camphor balls is sus pended from the top 140 of the cover 188 and a cylindrical knitted bag 170 of large mesh for the search light 171 is suspended from the rack shaped-supporting brace 65, or it may be suspended from the upper frame 30. The material of the bag 170 is such that the light from the search light 171 will pass therethrough, so as not to require said search light to be taken out of its bag when used.

Referring to Figs. 23 and 24, the member 142 of the cover 138 has detachably connected thereto a pair of pockets 172, by means of snap fasteners 173 or hooks. The vertical inner member 174 and the outer members 175 of the pockets 172 as well as the other portions thereof are integral, so that the said pockets 172 can be easily detached from the member 142 of the cover 138. Referring to the modification indicated in Figs. 20 and 21, the side members of the upper frame 30 are again indicated at 31. Ts are again shown with the horizontal sleeves 37 and the vertical sleeves 38. The cross brace is again indicated at 40 with the vertical members 41, and the latter have formed therewith, at their upper ends, the eyes 182. The eyes 182 are suspended from the eyes 183 of the suspending hooks 184. The hooks 184 have formed therewith the straight portions 185, which have formed ther in the indented portions 186 constituting seats. The hooks 184 have each-formed therewith the indented portion 188, which also constitute seats. A connecting brace 190 is indicated with the hook ends 191. The brace 190 has one of its hook ends looked with one indented portion 186 and its other hook end is engaged with one of the eyes 182. By means of the connecting brace 190 the suspending hooks 184; are maintained in proper spaced relation, to suspend the wardrobe bag without being tilted, from a nail or hook in a wall, by engaging the indented portion 188 with said nail or hook.

Referring to Fig. 22 a modification of the hanger 125 is indicated in its entirety by the numeral 195. The hanger 195 preferably comprises the curved body portion 196, which has extending up therefrom the disc portion 197. A hook 1.99 extends from the disc portion 197. By means of the hook 199, the hanger 195 is suspended i'rom the rack shaped supporting brace 65. A pair of horizontal arms 200 each having the inwardly inclined outer arms 201, with the bulb ends 202, extend from the disc shaped portion 197. From the body portion 196 extend the verticle arms 203. To the lower end of each verticle arm 203 is fastened the T 204 and from the latter extend the horizontal arms 205 having the upwardly extending bent arms 206, each With the bulb 207 at its end.

Referring to the hangers 80, the outer inclined members 81 are used for supporting dresses. The horizontal portions 8 1 are used for suspending slips. Bloomers may be supported on the ends 90. By means of the clamping arms 10 1 low neck dresses are secured on the members 81 and clamped in place by extending them between the cushioning sleeves 92 and 108.

Referring to the hangers 125, low neck dresses may be suspended from the curved body portions 126, and the inclined inner members 133 maintain the dresses in proper position. The said members 133 engage the collar of a coat if the latter is supported on the body portion 126. The members 133 are spaced to engage low neck dresses, and prevent them slipping to one side and falling off the hanger. Slips may be supported on the horizontal members 136.

Referring to the hangers 195, a dress may be supported on the body portion 196. The hori-- zontal arms 205 provide means for supporting brassires, slips or skirts, and the arms 200 may be used for supporting ties, collars or belts.

Various modifications may be made in the invention and the present exemplification is to be taken as illustrative and not limitative thereof.

Having described my invention what I desire to secure by Letters Patent and claim is:

1. In a Wardrobe bag the combination of an upper frame, comprising side members and end members, a pair of Ts, each T comprising a horizontal sleeve and a vertical sleeve, each of said horizontal sleeves supported on one of said side members, a cross brace, vertical end members formed with the cross brace, said vertical end members extending up through the vertical sleeves of said Ts, an eye formed at the upper end of each vertical end member and hooks to suspend said eyes.

2. In a wardrobe bag, the combination of an upper frame comprising side members and end members, a pair of Ts, each T compressing a horizontal sleeve and a vertical sleeve, each'of said horizontal sleeves supported on one of said side members, a cross brace spaced below said side members, vertical and members formed with the cross brace, said vertical end members extending up through the vertical sleeves of said Ts, an eye formed at the upper end of each vertical end member, the upper end of each eye in a horizontal plane passing through the upper ends of said horizontal sleeves and hooks for suspending said eyes.

3. In a wardrobe bag, the combination of an upper frame comprising side members and end members, a cross brace spaced below said side members and end members, vertical end members formed with said cross brace connected to said side members of the frame, an eye formed at the upper end of each vertical end member, a pair of supporting hooks, each of said hooks having a supplemental hook formed with the crown thereof, a vertical leg below said crown having an eye at its lower end, a second eye formed with the leg above the first eye, said eyes at the lower ends of the hooks engaging the eyes of the vertical members of said cross brace and a chain extending between the upper eye of each vertical leg and one of said supplemental hooks.
