This invention relates to an improved loom rewarping attachment, automatic warp tension plate and sectional guide. The principal object is to provide means for taking warp from the spool rack, taking up all warp slack and arranging the warp upon the warp drum in sections as desired. i
More specically the invention comprises an adjustable tension plate andV slack eliminator'adapted to be supported by the heddle bar and loom support between the spool rack and warp drum to guide .the warp and eliminate the lslaclrtherein Vprevious Vto its being wound uponthe drum, said eliminator including means for insuring an even distribution of the warp upon the warp drum sections, means being also provided for guiding the warp to the proper drum section and preventing jumping of the warp. during this operation.
' Withthe foregoing and other objects in view, the invention consists in the ycombination and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter fully described, pointed i out in the claims and illustrated in the accompanying drawing which forms a partof this application for patent and in whiche Fig. 1 is a top plan view of the invention illustrating its application.

The invention proper comprises a sectional guide and tension plate comprising the sliding sections 1, 2, one end 3 of the section 1 being curved for resilient-frictional engage'- ment with the heddle bar 4 and one end of the section '2 being secured by spring clamp 5 to the loom support 6, said section 2, further,
being' formed with an elongated slot 7 enflarged slightly at one end to receive the connecting bolt `8 carried by the section 1 and provided with the wing nut 9Vwher-eby saidVv adjustable plate sections are secured together. Guide clamps 10 also connect said plate sections to retain them in operative position.
, Mount-ed to the curved end of the plate section l and to the upper end of the clamp 5 are the upright warp kguides 11, the upper ends thereof being curved to provide a tread'sur` face for `the warp and secured to said warp guides are the resilient 'treed combs 1Q between the several reeds of which thel warp' passes, the warp being manually7 introduced between the reeds vwhen the channelled lock bar 13, hinged at one end to the comb frame, is raised to open or unlocked position, shown in dotted lines in Fig. t. When the lock bar 13 is in closed or full line position the upper ends of the'reeds project into the channelled portion thereof and the warp is lockedy or secured against removal from between the reeds. y
A slack eliminator is mounted to the plate section 2 and comprises the substantially U- shaped inverted frame 14' to which the lock plate 15 is adjustably secured by the screw bolts 16, provided with wing nuts 17, said frame 111 and lock plate 15 being provided with the felt or composition pads 18 through which said screw bolts pass, said pads having their meeting faces recessed to receive the warp 19. When one screw bolt is removed the loc-lr plate 15 withL its pad 18 may be the slack eliminator and through the second toward each other so that should the WarpV tend to pass beyond the ends of the drum guides it will be returned therebetween by the nippers. f
The sectional guide 'and tension plate is movable longitudinally along the heddle bar and loom support manually so that when one I I drum section is filled said plate may be shifted in a position to direct the Warp to the next drum section. When one drum section is filled the pick-up comb 25 is applied tothe Warp at a point between the loom support and Warp drum. This is a resilient reed comb provided with a hinged channel bar and the Warp is manually placed between the reeds. The pick-up comb is now in substantially the position shown in Fig. 7. The comb isnow manually moved to the dotted line position, Fig. 7 to permit the Warp to be cut and thereafter secured tothe next drum section to be supplied. The desired tension is given the Warp by means of the Wing nuts 17. The resiliency of the reeds of the reed combs permits knots or kinks in the warp to pass therethrough without hindrance. l
What is claimed is:
l. In Warp guiding and tension mechanism for Warpers, sectional adjustable plates adjustably carried by the Warper, warp guides carried by said plates, resilient reed combs secured to said Warp guides, and slack elimination means mounted to one of said adjustable plates.
2. In Warp guiding and tension mechanism for Warpers, sectional adjustable plates adjustably carried by the Warper, Warp guides carried by said plates at the relatively remote ends thereof, resilient reed combs secured to said Warp guides, and slack elimination means carried by one of said adjustable plates. 3. In Warp guiding and tension mechanism for Warpers, cooperating plates adjustably carried by the Warper, Warp guides carried by said plates, resilient reed combs secured to said Warp guides, lock bars for said reed combs, and slack elimination means carried by said plates.
4. In Warp guiding and tension mechanism for Warpers, cooperating plates adjustably carried by the Wai-per, Warp guides secured to saidplates, reedcombs secured to said Warp guides, andY nippers carried by the Warper drum guides. y
