The invention relates to pocket cases for holding keys and relates specifically to the general type of case having a plurality of individual attaching devices for the keys, and a sheath for the keys and attaching devices, the ends of the sheath being provided with conventional glove fasteners or the like, for holding the sheath closed. With such devices heretofore produced, a great deal of inconvenience is occasioned by entangling of the keys with each other and with the fasteners, and it is to overcome this difiiculty that I have devised the novel key case hereinafter fully described and claimed, description being accomplished by reference to the accompanying drawing.

The device includes a book 5 of leaves 6 formed from any desired material, thin preferably employed, each of said leaves having two free longitudinal edges and a free end. In forming this book, a plurality of r strips of the desired material, may well be laid one upon the other and stitched together about centrally between their ends as denoted at 7. The various leaves, except possibly the foremost, are provided with keyattaching devices 8 of any desired form, said attaching devices being secured at 9 to the leaves, in any appropriate way.

The back of the book 5 is secured upon a sheath-forming sheet 10 and while such socuring may be accomplished in any desired manner, I prefer that the stitching 7 shall perform the attaching function as well as connecting the leaves 6 with each other. The

ends 11 and 12 of the sheet 10 constitute flaps n which are adapted to be folded into overlapping relation upon the front of the book 5,

and said ends or flaps are provided with coacting fasteners 13 and 14 for detachably securing them together to hold the sheath and the book closed.

It will be observed from the foregoing, that leather or the like, or imitation thereof, being the individual keys and their attaching devices are segregated between the leaves 6 of the book 5, so that they cannot become entangled, yet the keys are readily accessible for use when the case is opened, and they will be retained in orderly fashion when said case is held in closed position.

While the details disclosed are preferably followed, variations may, of course, be made within the scope of the invention as claimed. W

I claim 1. A key case comprising a book of leaves attached to each other at one end and each having two free longitudinal edges and a free end, said leaves having article attaching devices thereon, and releasable means for holding said leaves closed upon each other, said leaves being readily separable upon release of said means.

2. A key case comprising a plurality of elongated leaves attached to each other at one end and each having two free longitudinal edges on one free end, key-attaching fasteners secured to said leaves, a sheath-forming sheet upon which the rearmost of said leaves lies, the attached ends of said leaves being secured to said-sheath-forming sheet atone longitudinal edge of'the latter, both ends of said sheath-forming sheet extending laterally beyond both longitudinal edges of said leaves and being adapted for folding into overlapping relation upon the foremost of said leaves, and ooacting fasteners on said ends of the sheath-forming sheet.
