The eye portion 23 is mounted we ill within it socket 24 formed in the adjustable clamping'member or jaw 10, as shown clearly in Figures 1' and 2 of the drawing, and the eye or loop portion 23 is firmly held within the socket 24 by means of an anchoring pin 25. A'slidable link 26 is slidably mounted over the arm 17, and also over the adjustable arm 21, and is adapted to slide down over the corrugated portion 22 and in this way draw the adjustable leg 21 into a clamped position such as is shown in full line as the link 26 is moved downwardly with respect to the legs or arms 17 and 21. As the link 26 is moved downwardly, the adjustable clamping arm or member 10 will be firmly drawn toward the primary or stationary clamping hard and in this way will permit a pair of trousers, or other article, to be firmly clumped between the spring portions 13 ot the primary clamping bar 6, and the projecting iingers or arms 12 of the adjustable jaw 10. It should be understood that the arms or legs 17 and 21 diverge outwardly toward their lower ends to provide for the inward drawing of the arms as the linlr 26 is moved downwardly from. the top toward the bottom of the legs or arms 17 and 21, as clearly shown in Fig- .ure 2.
