Description

March 14, 1933.
MULTIPLE ABAKE PAN FiledNov. 17, 1930 E. H.A cHANDoNlA the band and Walls to insure uniform heatl penetration and radiation during and after use, respectivel of the pan units. Suitable typesr of end liumper plates, (not shown) may be attached to the ends' of the pan units in any Well known manner, without interferv ing with the means of the present invention.
What is claimed is:
1. In combination with a unit comprising a plurality of substantially parallel bake pans, an angular encircling supporting band for supporting the bake pans, said band having projections at its cornersI formed by the metal of the band bent outwardly upon itself to provide a corner rotector spaced from the pan corner e ges andv extending suiiciently downwardly and outwardly beyond the normal limits of the band, to rest upon the tops of corresponding corner portions of a subjacent similar set of nested pans.
2. In combination with a unit comprising a plurality of substantially parallel bake pans, an angular encircling supportingband or supporting the bake pans, said band having projections at its corners formed by the metal of the band bent outwardly upon ltself to provide a corner protector spaced from the pan corner edges and extendin sufiiciently beyond the normal limits of the and to rest upon corresponding corner portions of a subjacent similar set of nested pans, and a peripheral extending bead on the band.
3. An angular encircling supporting band for supporting bake pans, said band having projections at its corners formed by the metal of the band bent outwardly upon itselt` to provide acorner protector spaced from the pan corner edges kand extending'suiiciently beyond [the normal limits ofthe band to rest upon corner portions of a subjacent set of grouped pans, and a peripheral extending bead on the band integral with the projections.
l 4. In combination with aunit comprising a plurality of substantially parallel bake pans, a pair of side band members each having inwardly turned ends forming a corner of the unit, said corner being formed by the metal of the band bent outwardly upon itself to provide a corner protector spaced from the pan corner edges and extended sufficiently beyond' the normal limits of the band to rest upon corresponding corner portions of a subjaeent similar unit of nested pans, end band's secured to the inwardly turned ends of the side band members for providing an encircling band for the group of pans, and means on the encircling band for attaching the band to the pans.
5. In combination with a unit comprising a plurality of substantially parallel bake pans, an angular encircling supporting band for supporting the bake pans, said band having projections at its corners formed by the metal of the band bent outwardly yu on itself yto provide a corner protector space from the pan corner edges and extending suiciently
