The construction is such that the boiler may be used in connection with water, steam or vapor heating systems.
The main obj ect of the invention is to provide means, in a boiler of the water tube type, whereby the water is caused to circulate in such paths that no cross currents will be set up thus insuring a rapid circulation throughout the boiler.
A further object is to provide a sectional and light structure which facilitates ease of handling and the ready passage of the parts through a usual doorway.
A still further oblect 1s to provide a structure which affords ready accessibility to the tub whereby they may be removed and replaced with a minimum of trouble.
Another object resides in so Shaping and are of unit form whereby two or more units may be readily assembled and connected so as to produce a structure'which may be of the desired and necessary capacity. y
i With these and other objects and advanf tages, which will hereinafter appear in view, reference is made to the annexed drawings wherein- 1 Figure l is a perspective view of the boiler with the upper casing removed;
Figure 2, a vertical sectional view on the,
"une II-II of Figure a;
Figure 3,l a similar view on `the line III-III of Figure 2;
Figures 4 and 5, transverse sectionalviews IV and V--V respectively of Figure 2; and
Figure 6, a like view on the line VI--VI of Figure 3. l
In the drawings 1, 2, 3 and 4 denote rectangular metallic sections secured together at their adjacentedges to produce the square'v base of the boiler. The sections are each pro-V vided at their lower edge with a foot flange 5 and at their upper edge with an inwardly extending flange 6 the upper face whereof Vat its inner edge is countersunk (see Figures 2 *I4`urthermoregA each of said'sec'tions is provided with yinternally extending.,cros`s ribs, `as 7 which, Awhen :the sections Vare "assembled, form in effect continuous ribsb'etween which refractory blocks 81 are" placed, "forming a fire box; v Nlithin saidrbox'imaybe placed* a suitablel burner,` oil or* gas as desired', 1 the opening for the'feed pipe `of which may exvtend through any of Vthe base sections. s
