The invention relates to a bracket designed to support pulleys of adjustable window shades of every kind having pulleys as a means of attachment to the window, and has for its principal object the provision of a means for holding a pulley block or holder so that it may be instantaneously removed and replaced for cleaning, repairing or refinishing any part of shade or window, and thus eliminate the necessity of removing the driven fastenings from the pulley block or holder as is now required for making the repairs and transferring shades, etc.

The invention relates to that type of bracket as disclosed in my former application for patent entitled Supporting bracket for shade pulleys, filed April 24, 1930, Serial No. 446,- 977. In the bracket that is the subject matter of said application for patent it is inconvenient to remove and replace the pulley block or holder because of the angle structure without making the holder so deep as tobe quite noticeable and at the same time requiring a larger amount of material to make the bracket.

The bracket as hereinafter disclosed avoids this inconvenience by having the hooks for supporting the pulley block or holder arranged at an angle to the vertical making it extremely convenient to remove and replace the pulley block or holder and at the same time enabling shortening the bracket to make it less noticeable.

The invention will be described in detail hereinafter and will be found illustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which Figure 1 is a front view in elevation of the improved supporting bracket showing the shade pulley holder or block in position thereon, and also showing the bracket secured under an overhung cap piece of a window frame.

The improved bracket has a body portion 10, and a right angle extension 11 from the upper edge thereof, the body portion 10 being provided with openings 12, and the extension 11 with openings 13 to receive driven fastenings for securing the bracket in position either through the openings 12 as shown in Figure 5, or through the openings 13 as shown'in Figures 1 and 3.

' The lower edge of the body 10 is angularly offset forwardly thereof as shown at 14;, and has tongues 15 extending downwardly therefrom and turned upwardly as shown at 16,

and spaced from the integral part of the tongue 15 to provide a support for a shade pulley holder 18. The shade pulley holder 18 has outwardly extending ears 19 between which is journaled a shade pulley 20, and the hooks 17 are spaced apart to receive the cars 19 and the pulley 20 and prevent lateral move- '15 ment of the pulley holder 18 when in position as shown in the drawing. The pulley block or holder 18 is provided with flanges 21 that seat in the hook members 17 and the hook members 17 are inclined rearwardly as shown so that their lower edges are substantially in alinement with the rear side of the body 10, this structure admitting of ready removal and replacement of the pulley block or holder 18 by lifting and pulling forward the pulley block in removing it and reversing the movement in replacing it. The extremities of the tongues 15 and upturned portions 16 are inclined outwardly asshown at 22 to more readily accommodate the removal and replacement of the member 18 as above stated.

What is claimed is A shade pulley bracket, comprising a body portion having downwardly and rearwardly 5 inclined hook portions adapted to receive and support attaching portions oi a shade pulley holder, the hook portions being spaced laterally from one another to receive a pulley and its supporting ears therebetween and prevent displacement thereof laterally of the hook portions.
