IMPROVEMENT IN ARTIFICIAL TEETH.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 1 88,254, dated March 13, 1877; application filed February 2, 1877.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FREDERICK 1. Man GER,-of Mystic Bridge, in the county of New London and State of Connecticut, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Artificial Teeth; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
My invention relates to artificial teeth and it consists in attaching the roof of alloy gum to a metallic base, in which the teeth are fastened.
In the annexed drawings, Figure 1 is a plan view, Fig. 2 is a bottom view, and Fig. 3 a side elevation, of a device embodying my invention.
A represents the roof of the mouth, made of any suitable alloyed gum. To the edges of this roof is attached the metallic base B, or ridge of the mouth, to which the teeth C C are fastened.
By this interposition of the metallic base between the teeth and the roof I avoid any alloyed gum coming in contact with the teeth,-
and still retain the artificial roof of alloyed gum.
