The invention relates to forms such as are employed in construction work in the production of sewage systems, manholes, service tunnels, subways, culverts and conduits for vari- H ous purposes.
The invention has as its principal object the provision of a form composed of a plurality of form sections which are designed to be associated with each other to produce the 1b form and which when the form has completed its work may be collapsed' and be removed from the structure for future use.
` The invention further contemplates the -1 provision of a. plurality of form sections 12; which are adapted to be arranged in a circumferential manner and to provide for the removal of one of said sections from the other of said sections so that the latter may be collapsed and be removed from the structure produced through means of the form.
In addition it is an obj ect to connect certain of said form sections with each other and to arrange the removable form section relatively to Vsaidv connected sections so that upon removal of said removable section, the connected' sections may be manipulated to facilitate their removal from within the bore or opening of the conduit or other, structure.
It is a further object of'theinvention to provide .a construction having form sections, certain of which are connected with each other, so that they are movable relatively to each other, in combination with form sections which engage the rst mentioned form sections and act as inserts or spacers, the last mentioned formV sections being removable from between said first-mentioned sections to thus allow movement of the connected sections to separate them from the construction 40 work and permit their removal therefrom.
The invention has also as an object the utilization of means for holding said connected sections in spaced relation to each other to thereby allow the introduction and removal of the removable form section from between the connected sections.
It is also an object to shape the removable form sect-ion so that movement thereof in one direction beyond the outer faces of the co-mo pleted form is prevented when associated with the other rforni section,but however, is permitted to be moved in the opposite direction'to accomplish its separation from the other form sections and thus permit the col- Y lapse of the completed form. The invention has these and other objects, all of which will be explained in conjunction with the*accompanying-drawings which illustrate various structurespwhich may be resorted to, it being therefore obvious that the B0 invention is capable of other changes without departing from the scope of the appended 1 claims forming a part hereof. WhenV either of the various structures shown are desired to be employed to forma conduit, the various sections wherebya form is fabricated are arranged relatively to each other to produce theform, the forms thus produced being arranged end to end and yconnected together. The concrete is then applied to the form and after the concrete has become set or dried the form is collapsed and the several sections of each form removed from the bore of the conduit. This mode of procedure is continued until all of the forms have been removed from the conduit. By

The supports 25 and 26 are then ydisconnect'ed from the respective end frames, which allows thepivot'ally connected form sections to be collapsed andwithdrawn tromthe bore of theiinished 'conduit or other construction.

The.' structure illustrated in Fig. 'discloses an arrangement wherebyv manholes or other rectangular bores or openings may be pro-r duced. This V,structure contemplates-the utilizationkor` form sections formed to produce the angular or corner form sections 29, 30, 31 and 32`,.which are secured together by the connecting bars or supports 33, which are bolted or otherwise secured to the end frames 34'ef'the form! sections 29 to 32, andare provided' to perform the'same function as the end frames referred'lto in the explanationof the structure shownin Fig. 1.. ' Removable form sections 35 are employed in this structure which are similar in function to those shown in Fig. 1. However, in the structure'showncin Fig..6, one ot these removable `ormsections 35 is arranged' between each pair of said corner form sections. It is manifest that thisl arrangement also allows the completed: form. to be dismantled by causing the separation of the sections and in` which the separate sections are held in associated relation by the key members or separable form sections35. j The "structure disclosed-invFige contemplates they utilizationV of separate-sections 36 and the inserts 37, the supports such as 25 and 26, shown in Fig. 1, being dispensed with. A strut 38 is employed in this structure to hold the inserts in place between the sections 36. rllhe elements of the structure just referred to are held against displacement by the weight of the material of which the bore is formed by means of the circumferential wire or other bands or straps 39, which are applied at intervals to the length of each form.
The structure illustrated in Fig. 8 discloses another structure for accomplishing the formation of a bore or opening. This structure is particularly adapted for the formation of conduits for the reception of cables, pipes, etc., and contemplates the employment of form sections 40 and 41, and inserts or removable form sections 42 and 43, the sections 40 and 41 being provided with the inturned iianges 44 between which the inserts are located. These several sections are held t0- gether by means of one or more bands 45 and a core 4G is employed which, after the concrete structure has become set, is removed, which allows the structure including the form sections 40, 41, 42 and 43 to be separated from each other and removed from the bore produced by the form.
From the foregoing description, it is evident that al simple practical structure is disclosed, whereby to form a conduit, which structure may be readily set up for use and be dismantled and be again employed.
What I claim as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
1. In a form support, the combination of a plurality of circumferentially arranged sections providing orm supports, means detachably connecting adjacent ends of said form supporting sections and maintaining said ends in spaced relation to each other and providing a support for said supporting sections arranged transversely of said space, a form member adapted to be arranged in said space, said last mentioned form member providing means for completing said form and providing a space into which an end of the first mentioned form supporting sections may be moved to thereby allow said form sections to be separated from each other upon detachment of said connecting means and separation of said last mentioned form member from the form supporting sections, said detachable connecting means providing means for engaging and holding said last mentioned form member in said space. 2. In a form support, the combination of a plurality of circumferentially arranged form supporting sections, a form member, said last mentioned form member being wedge-shaped and located between said iirst mentioned form supporting sections with the smaller dimension of said wedge extended in an outwardly direction relatively to the form and providing means for completing said form and providing a space upon separation from the form supporting sections into which an end of the last mentioned formsupporting sections may be moved to thereby allow said last mentioned form supporting sections to be separated from each other, and detachable means connecting adjacent ends of said irst mentioned form supporting sections against separation and extending transversely of and engaging said wedge-shaped form members and providing means for holding said wedgeshaped form members between said first mentioned form supporting sections.
3. In a form support, the combination of a plurality of pairs of hingedly connected form supporting sections, detachable means extending from an end of one section for detachably connecting said end with an adjacent end of another section and holding said sections against displacement, a form member, said detachable connecting means being arranged transversely of said form member and engaging a face of said form member, said last mentioned form member providing means for completing saidform and providing a space upon disconnection of said detachable means and removal of said form members from said form supporting sections into which an end of a form supporting section may be moved to thereby allow said form supporting sections tok be separated from each other. n
