M T invention relates to means for securing paper sheets to a backing member usually in the form of a metal plate and has for its principal purpose the provision of a novel '5 securing means which enables me to so secure the sheets as to give a neat finished ap-. pearance thereto without any showing of the openings provided in the sheetsfor the securing member.

More particularly it is a purpose of my invention to provide a novel means whereby V the securing strip used to secure the paper sheets to the backing may be made to completely cover the aperture in the paper and the backing so that from the paper side no aperture is visible.

I will describe the preferred form of my invention by reference to the accompanying drawing whereinsuch as is used for calendars embodying my invention;

Referring now in detail to the drawing,the numeral 6 refers to the backing member which may be of any suitable sheet material such for instance as sheet metal, and to this backing member the sheets 7 are secured by means of the securing strap 8. In general, the manner of securing is as follows: The backing member and the sheets are all punched with spaced apertures and the strap 8 is provided with a downturned tip portion which goes through the apertures provided and is clinched over on the back as indicated at 10 in Fig. 3.

The holes punched, however, are round, and heretofore it has been diflicult to obscure these round holes by means of thestrap to present a suitable appearance. In order to accomplish the covering of the holes, I preferably make the strap slightly long with respect to the distance from outside to outside of the Fig. 1 is a plan view of the paper pad holes and in addition thereto I make it slight-. ly wider than the diameterof the holes round ingtheends as shown at 11 in Figs. 4 and 5 Then the downturned tip portion 9 extends,
