The object of my invention is to provide novel attachments for can covers whereby the covers may be used also for the purpose of a drinking cup and also to provide means whereby the contents of the can may be more readily removed than is possible with the usual Mason jar type. I

Referring to the accompanying drawing, there is illustrated a can 1, having a screw threaded meta-l cover of the Mason jar type style, said cover having a central cylindrical portion terminating in an annular flange or bead 4 to receive the annular base rim 5 v of an inverted cup 6, which is thereby attached to the portion 3 of the can top, as shown in the figure.
I may provide suitable means for permitting the liquid contents of the can to be removed without the trouble of unscrewing the entire top from the can. In the figure there is illustrated a central screw threaded cylindrical spout or discharge element 7 and a removable spout top 8.
The operation of the invention will be clear from a scrutiny of the accompanying drawing. In order to remove the contents of the can it is merely necessary to unscrew the auxiliary spout cover 8.
To use the cup 6 it is necessary to unscrew the main cover 2. from the can, whereupon the contents of the can may be poured into the cup 6 for use as a drinking cup.
It is of course within the contemplation of my invention to make minor modifications in the form and arrangement of my device without departing from the novel combination and principle of operation disclosed in the accompanying drawing, the foregoing description and appended claim.
