Description

H. YAMAGISHI FIRECRAGKER June 7, 1932.
Filed April 25, 1950 `atentecl June 7, 1932 N Umreo STATES PATENT ordenen Application filed April 25,
`The present invention relates to an improved form of fire-crackers, which substantially comprises two series of crackers aXialj ly set up against each other with their fused ends leaving a small space between them, each series being composed of two or more units arranged laterally side by side and the fuse of each unit of both series being kept in contact with one another within and those of the upper units projecting out of said space, which is completely covered with a strip of paper so as to keep the crackers in position. The object of the invention is to provide a new type of crackers in which any desired number of them can be fired without mis-firing.
In the crackers according to this invention all the paper-string fuses are inclosed in a closed space formed between the fuse ends of the crackers of both series, so that they are completely protected from damage and also kept free from the moisture of the outer air, which is very important to prevent their missing lire. Besides, the main fuse can be dispensed with and no connection of each fuse is needed with the arrangement of the invention.
A practical application of the subject of the invention will now be fully described in referenceto the accompanying drawing, in which Fig. 1 is a plan showing part of paper removed and Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section on line A-B of Fig. l. `Each series is composed of two or more crackers l l arranged laterally side by side two series are in their turn arranged axially with their fused ends set up against each other` leaving a small space 2, which is hermetically closed by pasting a strip of paper wider than the width of said space so as to keep all crackers of both series in position. The fuse 3 of each cracker of both series kept in contact with Vone another within said Y space 2, those of upper crackers being led out of said space. The said space is completely `closed around by pasting a piece of paper 4 wider than the breadth of said space, thus `keeping crackers of both series in position as well as in protection.
By removing said paper cover any desired 1930. serial No. 447,328.
number of crackers to be tired may easily be taken out at will.
I claim: j
l. Improvement in tire-crackers characterized by the feature that two series of crackers axially set up against each other with their fused ends leaving a small space between them, each series being composed of two or more units arranged laterally side by side and the fuse of each unit of both series being kept in contact with one another within, and those of upper crackers projecting out of said space which is completely closed with a strip of paper.
2. Improvement in fire crackers comprising two series of crackers arranged with the crackers of the respective series in axial alinement with their fuses opposite one another, the fuses being separate and independent of one another and situated in a space between the ends of the fire crackers and a strip eX- tending around the fuse ends of the two series of crackers and closing said space, any desired number of crackers being removable from the package thus formed.
3. Fire crackers as in claim 2 in which fuses at the end of the series'project out of the space in which the other fuses are. situated.
In testimony whereof I hereunto aiiX my signature.
HATSUTARO YAMAGISHI.
