A device of the class described comprising a plurality of samples of upholstering sheet material, a member simulating a portion of a furniture frame element and of similar cross-section, and means-for attaching said samples to said member with the part corresponding to that appearing in the completedarticle,of furniture-exposed and with a portion of each sample free to be brought selectivelygiinto relation with the portion of said member comparable to that between said 'upholstering materialiand said frame element in the corresponding piecev of furniture.
