If theswitch 52 should be linadvertently operated firstthe turntable has rotated to a .pointl whereV the beamk and theblade .might contact with the rear wheels, the safety mechanism-is brought into operation. rhissaiety mechanism, Aactuated bythe members 65 and 66, abuts against. the inner yendsof'the members 35 and `36, respectively,and thus separate the respective arm'from its adjacent contact to thereby break the electric circuit and cause the operationY ofA the motor to cease.
vIt Vwill be noted that the motor 23operates l in such a direction yas to cause the turntable to Yrotate in` a counterclockwise direction with v'reference to Fig. l. In this case shouldthe rotation be'too far, the member 65 willl engage the arm35 and-thus stop' theoperation lof themotor 23. However, the doublethrow switch 52 mayjnow be thrown-to its other' position and current, will 'iowvthrough the other side on'V the ,arm 36 and thus the turntable may be` brought back towards its original position. As soon-as itstarts'iinthis .direction the spring 39j causes the arm 35 to again engage its contact 41.5/
'F rom the above description itQwill be appreciated that I .have invented an extremely practicalvand'sturdy adjusting unit which may be easily and expediently applied to the 'particular type of road 'scraping mechanism herein ,involved and also which has a safety deviceV which limits the movement of the beam and vits scraping blade.

3. A road scraper comprising a turntable mounted thereon, a cross bar on said frame located adjacent the turntable,Y
two alined motors havingpa common shaft mounted upon the cross bar, arworm upon turntable whereby the'latter is driven, and
means to alternately energize the motors whereby the turntable is driven in the chosen direction.
